Is RA ever coming back to Spittin Chiclets?

Random question, but I’m curious. They still use an audio clip of him for their intro, but then seem to be moving more towards Yandle as a 3rd host.

I get why they would, but it’s also kinda messed up. He’s one of the originators, but then isn’t as popular once the show explodes- dude kinda makes an ass of himself, they say he’s gotta get cleaned up, now we never hear from him anymore. I know he’s not everyone’s favorite, I find him kinda ridiculous comic relief, and was just wonderin how that all resolved.

As someone who's not versed in whatever his controversies are, I always thought he was a good level headed moderator/host for the Pod. And I enjoyed the accent.

As someone who's not versed in whatever his controversies are, I always thought he was a good level headed moderator/host for the Pod. And I enjoyed the accent.

He is (was?) close with the Tkachuks but then got caught up in the Edmonton come back hype. Got drunk and rooted for ‘em, then tried to join the Tkachuks with the cup on the ice and got told “haha screw off. No, seriously”. And he was partying pretty hard, plus a recent divorce- they agreed he needed some time off, which is fair.

But I kinda assumed it’d be the summer, and instead it seems like it’s quietly been an opportunity to let go of a guy the show had maybe outgrown. That’s all his controversy was- embarrassing himself, really.

He isn’t on the show because of his adventures with the oilers flashing woman from the finals and what looks like a substance abuse issue.

I’m sure he will be back once that’s resolved

I hope he's doing well, but i also hope he never comes back to the pod. I listen to them to hear from former NHLers. If I wanted to hear some drug addicted schmuck with a shitty accent ramble on I'd go to Boston myself

He was being a creep with her and said some inappropriate things. It’s just sad to see it happening. I didn’t follow closely. Only listened to the show because my team was in the playoffs and a subject of talk.

He definitely seemed to be off. I thought the guy was sick with how much he was trembling and tweaking on camera. His partying took a physical toll on him. No wonder the others stepped in.

Hope he gets healthy but I’m good with him gone. He was so annoying. Enjoyed him for entertainment but didn’t like a few things about him, his whole journalism integrity thing while also getting boozed up was such a brutal take. Keep Yandle in there.
