2nd in the league in goals and leads one of the NHL's hottest lines, yet, left off the 4 Nation cup and he couldn't even crack most people's 10 list last year.
Schief's line seems to have improved their defensive numbers, but, that could be a byproduct of playing with the best goalie.Guy has gone from underrated, to overrated, back to underrated here on HF.
Most people shit on him for his lack of defense, but the offense up front undoubtedly runs through him and it shows anytime he goes down with injury and isnt on the ice. Hes still a top end 1C in this league.
But, defense usually doesn't get noticed as much as offense. No one is talking about the best forwards the Mack, McD, because of their defensive games. Being a small market definitely doesn't help.He is underrated. Great scorer who isn't great defensively, also plays for a small market team. As such he gets overlooked by those not in Winnipeg.
Being left off Canada was a head scratcher. I really am getting shades of team USA 2016 from this Canada roster. Seems they tried to get too clever and bring along too many role players in place of skill. Hopefully doesn't end up biting them.
Yes, he left a mark in Montreal’s win column on their way to the finalsThe Butcher of Barrie left his mark on Montreal. They still hold a candlelight vigil over the decimated body of poor little Jakey Evans
more consistency is needed, anyone can have a good year.
Not sure i'd say he's underrated, not yet anyway, two more years of being near the top of the stats board and i'd agree.
He might be the most consistent Jets 2.0 player ever since he became a full time player, not sure what that comment is referring to.more consistency is needed, anyone can have a good year.

Are you saying he's a top 10 player????2nd in the league in goals and leads one of the NHL's hottest lines, yet, left off the 4 Nation cup and he couldn't even crack most people's 10 list last year.
Top ten centre, for this year, definitely. Other than the Mackinnon, McDavid, Drai who has had a stronger campaign? If he keeps this level of play up you can remove the for this year limiter. Are you saying he's a top 10 player????
its answered in the next lines of text.He might be the most consistent Jets 2.0 player ever since he became a full time player, not sure what that comment is referring to.
Isn’t Kyle Dubas one of the guys in charge of picking the team? I’d say that doesn’t bode well for the 4 nations tournamentBeing left off Canada was a head scratcher. Our easiest opponent in the tournament nonethelessYes, he left a mark in Montreal’s win column on their way to the finals
Wtf, am I missing something? Why would you go out of your way to celebrate someone getting injured? If I’m reading this right it seems very out of place. The Butcher of Barrie left his mark on Montreal. They still hold a candlelight vigil over the decimated body of poor little Jakey Evans
