Damn he’s gonna need a massive extension then
He's going to be broke or in debt by the end of this season.

Dostal has been the only consistent bright spot for the Ducks this season so far. There's no way he keeps up these numbers for a whole season, but it's fun while it lasts. Hopefully he won't be completely destroyed playing behind this team.

Yeah, like are the Sharks the only team the Ducks have outplayed this entire season?

The second game against the Sharks (first was probably pretty even) and Utah probably (ironically probably Dostal's worst game). They've shown flashes, they had a great stretch against the Rangers. At some point the offense will probably get going, unfortunately it's usually as goaltending starts declining. This team hits a LOT of posts relative to the number of shots they take.

Sure, but nonetheless it looks like the Ducks are very bad in advanced metrics and are getting their asses saved by Dostal. Where do you expect to finish in the standings?

As far as Dostal will carry them

I think they finally get out of the bottom 5, probably around 6 or 7th overall pick before lottery? If they can be close to or out of the bottom 10 this year, that will be a big step forward. If Cronin can find lines that click and change the way the offense is run, Ducks can probably do a little better than that 6-7 range. If he doesn't adapt and they keep getting caved in, it'll be another bottom 5 finish (barring Vezina level goaltending)

Prime trade candidate... I wouldn't trade him (and like him in Anaheim) but he's a guy I'd try to pry away. Especially for my Oilers. Same with gudas. Also wont happen

Ducks need to figure themselves out and Cronin is not the answer. Carlsson and Terry who have been the main offense should both be a PPG now, if this system wasn’t so bad.

Ducks' goalie dev system is quietly elite. I'd want to steal him or Ian Clark over stealing star players from those teams. IMO, your team would have a goalie factory if you picked up one of those guys.

Whether Dostal is elite or not, I'm not sure yet. But if there's any org that would give him the best chance of accomplishing that level of performance, Ducks certainly have the right dev program to increase his chances.

They have have a constant stream of legit starters the whole existence of the franchise. Literally not one year without one of those guys in the roster and tha TDS just the home grown guys. Not even including the really good backups like Miller they have had.

And a monster in Clara on the way too. He's going through some adjustment in the SHL but to be a 1A/1B as a teenager for such a storied SHL franchise to go along with his domination of Allsvenskan as an 18 year-old last season....with that ridiculuous frame...he's gonna be another blue chipper IMO.

He played 44 games to a 3.33GAA last season. 7 games this season with a 2.00GAA according to hockeydb. He's looking like a very good solid young goalie for the Ducks.

Right now I don't think I'd label him elite. 0 playoff games, no vezinas, etc. I keep "elite" reserved for the Hasek and Brodeur level goalies. If he keeps playing like this those will come. Just too early to say.
