No he really doesn't and this type of argument is really just another way for people to be lazy and not do some critical analysis and scouting of Drai.

Nothing more and nothing less and absolutely nothing to do with Drai.
Can’t proper scout and evaluate a player when he’s stapled to a better player, in his brief stint without McDavid he is a much different player. It’s really no different than how Malkin was treated

The thing is that he hasn't been stapled to McDavid and we can see how he does without him plenty at ES.

Like I said we can scout him saying that he is stapled to McDavid is just plain lazy and wrong.

Draisaitl biggest line combination at ES last season? Hyman - Draisaitl - McDavid

Season before? Hyman - Draisaitl - McDavid

So yes, he’s still heavily stapled with McDavid

All superstar players play with their teams best players but sure keep singling out one guy......
How many of them are stacking centers? And how’s it singling out one guy when the same was done with Malkin at forward, and Hughes on defence as some recent examples.. not to mention it’s a thread about Draisaitl, so hard not to discuss solely him.

Makita/Hull and Chara/Bergeron come to mind.

Sure the Malkin thing comes up but usually by lazy anti Crosby critics who then skip over backstrom actually playing way more at ES with Ovi.

We know enough about Draisaitl to make a reasonable informed opinion on him here....well at least some of us do.

Can’t carry a line, gets emotionally vested and starts taking bad penalties, still needs McDavid to produce. Yup, we do know enough to make an informed opinion on him.

The quality of your posts continues to deteriorate. Getting emotionally vested isn’t a bad thing. If EP and Quinn Hughes had some type of emotional investment to the game, they wouldn’t have no showed after having a lead in round 2.

The same old arguments from Canuck fans are getting boring too. Draisaitl gets dinged for playing periodically with McDavid - but no deductions are applied to JT Miller or EP when they get offensive dynamo Hughes on the ice. You have no issue with MacKinnon/Rantanen playing together and no deductions are applied there either. We know objective stats are meaningless to you - if they meant anything, you wouldn’t self proclaim your opinion as “informed.”

The old Canucks mantra:

“Injuries apply to us, not to you.”

“Statistics apply to you, not to us.”

Never change.

It doesn’t count because there were 4 other people on the ice with him.

Q. Hughes won the Norris being the only person on the ice against a team of 5 every night. Until Draisaitl does the same, he’s a McDavid merchant…

it's also no different than how Nate Mackinnon was a 50-60 point player prior to Rantanen breaking out...now he's an elite player in the league

funny how when good players play with other good players, their stats get better

Well that's good as he is already on level with him all time one would think.

how many times has Drai led the Oilers in scoring? Has Draisaitl played with Iafallo and Brown (or DWIGHT KING LOL) on his wings during those non-existent years where Drai led in scoring?

How many trophy wins and nominations does Drai have?

How many cups?

in those non-existent years where he won a cup, how many of those did he lead in scoring or contributed highly to the non-existent cups he's won?

How many non-existent Selkes?

Yes he was tremendous in 2020. but would he have won the Ross without McDavid? Now, take away any player from the Kings as you desire, please do, and yet you'd still have Kopitar on top. In this context, it is absolutely Kopitar that is driving whoever on the kings not the other way around.

But Of course it's normal for a person like you and the other "t*ww*i/ts" that LOL at the comparison because to them, probably a player that scores 5million points and has zero to show for, equates to best ever. Yes, we live in such a world.

But once you factor in context, including style of play your team plays that seriously hampers productivity, yet you STILL managed to always finish first on your team without fail is a tremendous feat that Drai couldn't replicate because he has yet to replicate nor will he.
