Two handed slasher to the foot/leg of Pageau AFTER taking a penalty on JGP's breakaway. This is obviously not the only incident but, is he a dirty player?
 
I always held the Lightning in very high regard. When they crushed the Islanders in game 1, I wasn’t even mad because I know what a good team they are

but the second they face adversity they turn into cheap SOB’s. I’ve lost a ton of respect for them. If they had just beaten the Isles on the scoresheet, I’d have been fine shaking their hands and wishing them well in the finals

not anymore though. In the more likely than not chances they go to the finals, I hope whoever comes out of the west demolishes them

Beating them in game 2 with only 9 forwards isn't facing adversity?
 
How many times has he been suspended? At least two and both were very dirty, one for kicking someone and one for boarding a players face into the dashboard while he was on his knees. He might be one of the dirtiest players in the league.

And look at what Killorn and Goodrow did to Nelson. I didn’t say they couldn’t overcome adversity. I said they turn into dirty SOB’s when doing it

Kucherov’s BS lumberjack impression on a clear empty net breakaway was a joke
 
Kucherov can be dirty. His slash on Pageau was dirty, and I remember him getting dirty out of frustration against Columbus in 2019.

He obviously isn't on the level of Dale Hunter, Matt Cooke, or Chris Simon.

But he can have his moments when he loses his temper or has a brain-fart, and gets dirty.

He reminds me a bit of Evgeni Malkin or Alex Ovechkin in that way. These guys have had some dirty moments earlier in their careers.

It is all just temper-related boneheaded dirtiness. The game was over. There was no need to take a swing at Pageau.

I wonder if the league looks at it at all. Because if so, that just makes it more dumb on Kucherov's part, to risk a suspension when your team is still ahead in a series.

The “cheap SOBs” was in reference to Game 2, with the two dirty hits from Killorn and Goodrow.

Also, the 9 forwards thing is a bit misrepresentative. They only play with 11 anyway, so they lost 2, not 3. Still tough, but saying 9 without context makes it seem worse.

Plus, one of those forward losses was completely self-inflicted. No sympathy there.

Easily the worst offender in the game bar none.

lol slashes to shin pads don’t hurt. Any beer league scrub could tell you that.

It’s an old joke don’t take a penalty slashing a guy in the shin pads that’s a waste of two, catch them somewhere where it actually hurts like on the top of the laces or foot.

Its one thing to get suspended on a hit where players are moving and stuff happens in a split second but it's another to get suspended on multiple occasions for premeditated, completely dirty infractions. Kicking a player and body checking a guy on his knees into the boards? Name one other player in the league with multiple suspensions like that?
