Cap hit of $5.5M, actual salary if $8M this year and $7M for next season.

Despite close to 17 minutes a game, with over 2 minutes a game of PP time, he has 2 points and 0 goals in 23 games. According to Natural Stat Trick, his primary linemates are Alex Newhook and Nick Suzuki. When playing with Anderson both players have been heavily outchanced and outshot and their results improve markedly when he's away from them.

In a league where Ryan Johansen exists, no it is not.
The difference between Anderson and a guy like RyJo is that Johansen actually performed at one point to warrant that contract. Same with Vlasic. Their contracts haven't aged well, most contracts at that age don't. Anderson's was f***ing terrible from the moment the ink was dry and has gotten worse at light speed.

I'd still say Gallagher's is worse.

This is also 1 bad start. Could be 1 atrocious year.

Given that Vlasic has been bad for years, Gallagher has been hurt and not very good for a few years now.

He also best up Gadjovich, so I'm sure the Devils upped their offer for someone who can actually fight

Can you point to which season that was?

Reminder that Johansen is making $8MM per season.

I'll take "No, I haven't watched the player, but I'll give my opinion on said player" for 1,000, Alex.

no…what?

he’s not putting up points but his playstyle and size/speed is extremely valuable and rare.

if it was such a terrible contract the habs would have to retain and pay to give him away, hughes turned down a 1st round pick for him already!

if you want anderson your team would have to overpay big time because he is very important to the young habs and they have no reason to trade him, period!

jk he is garbage and so is his contract

He's not playing great but not terrible either

Just for the cap hit alone, I would think that Nurse and Huberdeau are way worse contracts

As for the "actual money" shit, Montréal don't give a f*** about that nonsense
Only cap hit money is an interesting discussion for us, "real money" related stuff is for poor teams fans to talk about

Any of his multiple 60+ point seasons or his 71 point season prior to that contract being signed? I'm not saying it was a GOOD contract, but a guy who had multiple 60 point season getting an $8 million per contract vs. a guy who broke 40 points one time (averaging 36 points per season) earning $5.5 million per season... I'm not sure how it is even a discussion?

I'll take, Anderson is earning $5.5 million a year and has 2 points on the season, is on pace for 0 goals, 8 assists, for $5.5 million, Alex.
