He's actually over-hated. Made some real nice moves recently, outside of Loui.

Benning is closer to the best GM in the league.

He might be the worst GM at managing public relations on twitter but at actually managing he’s done a very good job in Vancouver which is why most people support him.

He isn't the worst. It's hard to lay a ton of blame on him when he also has to contend with meddlesome owners. He's not a bad GM. Dorion is a worse GM and has meddlesome ownership on top of being a bad GM.

Not the worst but he’s made two great finds and then bombed on the other two and those are easy to understand, and those two bombs in 16 and 14 could turn out well turn out still but who would you rather have right now OJ and Jake or Tkachuk and Nylander/Ehlers.

His cap management skills or lack there-of aren’t the best, he’s probably on a hard position playing pupped to the aquilinnis and then the whole Trevor situation.

Trace size he’s done okay actually but as far as feee agent signings? Yikes.

That being said there’s still probably a few GMs worse, maybe bottom five or bottom ten but a little early to judge.
