Reaves is a type of you you'd want around in a rough playoff series. I'd keep him around, although his play needs to pick up a bit...not expecting 70 goals, but some grind would be nice.

I think the fight is outta Reaves, this year. Maybe forever. He's actively avoiding anyone that even looks his way?? Something's wrong physically, or mentally/spiritually - but he's overrrr the role he used to play. It's pretty obvious to see.

Sad to see but I think it done for him as a fighter and his other skills aren’t quite up to par. With our current lineup he is better for that 4th line than Holmberg but that isn’t saying much. I get fighting every night is gone, but I think a fight every few games is still nice. I think that’s what Tre thought he was getting. If CBJ are out by the deadline, I’d love to have a crack at Olivier. The guy can play and wreck

A month ago, the team was more Fiesty than it has been lately. Around our net and defending mates...something is missing, something about leadership. Maybe something in the room. Even 1 leg lift Domi would push back...gone now too.

Nothing wrong with him playing select games and being an enforcer.

But its mindboggling how he hasnt had a single fight yet. Weird how the media isnt saying anything about that either

HUH
Dude is leading the team in hits/game with extremely limited minutes.
Almost ended the career of Nurse who is a huge monster of a player.

I agree he is not a useful player. Although he has been fine recently in his 8 mins per game.
BUT he is still a respected opponent in my eyes and nobody wants a knuckle sandwich from the guy.

And back to the question.
Waive-yes
Nobody will claim him and it gives you roster flexibility.

Ya - I guess i shoulda been clearer. He's throwing his body around, sure.....

But who's he fought?
Who did he 'go see' when they ran over our guy/s??

Benoit has done it a handful of times. Reaves has literally been looking for reasons not to. It just looks like the old dog ain't wit it anymore.

4th line was great on Saturday night and complete dogshit last night

Reaves can't skate, can't handle the puck, and no longer does the only thing that has kept him around this long

He's at the age where he's learned to setle disputes with dialog, not fisticuffs. And I believe that after he hangs up the skates, he wants to be a dancer.

Seriously though, this team does not get physically abused and embarrassed the way it used to, does anybody miss those days? When Myers is in, we've got 5 D who will hit and bang, a number of forwards who are big and like to hit, a tough coach and guys who will always jump in for each other. Reaves' reputation is a part of all that, I like having him around in case a playoff series gets real ugly but he should be a scratch on most nights.
