He's practically a non-factor when he plays and an argument can be made the team plays better without him in the lineup.
No one seems to be intimidated by him when he's on the ice and at this point, he's basically taking ice time away from more serviceable players that can contribute more positively to the team.
He's going to be 38 soon so it's not like he's going to get any better.

Even the Rangers put an end to the Rempe experiment.

Unfortunately, I feel he may be one of those shitty players loved by the coach.

I mean, I totally wasn't expecting him to play back-to-back, but he did. I won't be shocked if he's in the line-up against BOS as well.

As vanilla as he may be, this team can use Jankrok. He'll be a good third line option. Domi seriously needs to get going.

For a team in cap trouble, this seems like an easy choice. I would waive him, send him down to the minors but keep him around the Leafs for practice. Similar to what they did with Simmonds in his last year with the team. I doubt anyone picks Reaves up on waivers.

Sure

Issue is Robertson stinks this year and Holmberg has been even worse

Our bottom 6 isnt filled with attractive options whatsoever
Shake up the lines Berube has to see the big three need to be on their own lines

There’s a bunch of them that he loves for some odd reason

I think they're going to get to a point here pretty soon where a line featuring Lorentz, Kämpf, and Dewar is objectively more effective to the point that you don't even rotate him in too much.

Not to mention, the possibility of one of McMann/Järnkrok even being in this 4th line conversation depending how external additions go - that's further off though.

I think Reaves will survive this first round where just Dewar/Hakanpää are activated (two of Holmberg, Myers, and Benning going is my guess), albeit as a much clearer 13th F, but this team could get to a place where it is objectively moronic for him to even hold a roster spot.

Play Reaves with Matthews. Might give the Captain a spine. I mean, what is wrong with Matty's heart yall...???

But failing that terrible experiment, sure - punt Reav-o to the moon.

There's a time machine waiting for many of you step in. Set it to a time where TOR had Aki Berg or Hal Gill.

2 early season threads blaming the number 13 forward (Reaves), and the number 6 defenseman (Benoit).

Classic.

If waiving a 4th liner who plays 6 minutes a game is the key to making this team a Cup contender, than what are we waiting for?
I think they’re still years away from that possibility, but in the meantime they hav to ice a cap compliant team

To be honest I don't think he's been that bad. I wish he brought a fight or 2 but I don't think he's been that bad.

That being said -we're at a weird crossroads with Dewar/Jarnkrok coming out of LTIR. I'm curious to see who gets moved.

Wait so if someone runs one of our guys and Reaves challenges them, they can just say no? I need to rethink this whole deterrent thing..
Was it Suter who flattened Marner in front of the net, from behind after the whistle? Suter didnt need to answer the bell.
