an outsiders perspective you guys are 2 years away from being a nightmare to play against. you need a solid goalie and a top notch trigger man the most, ex mackinnon (sp) from the draft. after the nash trade you guys have improved your depth greatly and got bigger. Umberger should be traded at the deadline for more assets to maybe a team like Pitt. but with cam dub arty more tyutin murray erixon johnson etc and 3 first rounders i believe your team has a great future. The key is to draft well with the picks you have, this year is a very deep draft so you should get some impact players and then go from there. If you do wind up with mackinnion and a goalie it will also maye cbj an attractive place for UFAs to sign and will give you a true face of the franchise. Just my 2 cents.

I don't see that happening again, assuming "The Room" is actually starting to be a place of accountablity like we've heard.
You might be able to pull that crap with a toothless GM and a mentally checked out captain, but hopefully, not on this new group of individuals.
