Barron and Kupari are also in that 25 y/o and younger group. IMO people get to attached to the prospects we have drafted over similar players brought in from other organizations.
Is it possible that they want to bring Heinola up?
Agreed. This will be our most important transition to stay competitive, especially if a couple of them prove to be top 6 forwards. Our only real hope currently on defense is Solamonnson who looks to be a potential top 4 RHD.Agreed. We have a solid mix of ages. I'm sure over the next few years a couple more kids will push their way in as we have to move on from more expensive depth.
Sure, but we don't play for 10 days so they don't need to make a move until then.
Yep in that 25 year old range. Look at how well Dallas has guys competing for rookie of the year and yet are competing for it every year.Barron and Kupari are also in that 25 y/o and younger group. Yes, but probably not until after the All Star break. Is it possible that they want to bring Heinola up?
Dallas' young players are also moving into the mid 20's age range. At the older end Hintz is the same age as Ehlers. They had a good run of drafting, but they also avoided rushing players or trying to make AHL tweeners into more than what they were. I think we will be well positioned to have some really good young prospects take over for our mid range players over the next couple years.Yep in that 25 year old range. Agreed, it was too bad about Villie. He really looked ready to take the next step. I'm guessing he will start getting some NHL games after the All Star break. Here is hoping he comes in with a chip on his shoulder and is ready to push the door down.Yeah, that Harley kid is the same age as Heinola. He just made it full time this year. Ville likely would have as well had he not gotten injured.
You have to be impressed with Dallas' discipline in developing their prospects. Those 2 are D+3 and D+4 and are tearing up the AHL, yet they are still not rushing them in.Dallas also has the two best young forwards in the AHL right now ready to make the leap - Logan Stankoven and Mavrik Bourque are 1-2 in AHL scoring.

Agreed, By all appearances it looks like the Jets are grooming their youngsters to take over for the higher priced mid range depth over the next couple years to allow for the salary increases of out top end players. If Chevy can manage it, hopefully we have 4-5 year window after this season, before father time comes crashing down on our original Jets 2.0 drafted core.We have Chobrikov and Lambert performing well and they are d plus 2 and d plus 3. Seems like we are developing them similarly. Lambert likely has one more year in the AHL and he's on the Jets.
I really feel like Chibs is the best of the bunch and will crack the lineup next season. We have Chobrikov and Lambert performing well and they are d plus 2 and d plus 3. Seems like we are developing them similarly. Lambert likely has one more year in the AHL and he's on the Jets.
