If it's not a pumpkin pie it is not a pie. Except in 1938 United States of America when it was declared Apple was also a pie. Then they let in the immigrants and Joe DiMaggio made the first pizza pie. Which also is not a pie. It's a pizza. And everyone freaked out because it wasn't made of pumpkin and his apples were canned. So basic answer is always:

IS IT PUMPKIN?

No.
