Is Boeser for Real is He Good for 40 Again

  • We sincerely apologize for the extended downtime. Our hosting provider, XenForo Cloud, encountered a major issue with their backup system, which unfortunately resulted in the loss of some critical data from the past year.

    What This Means for You:

    • If you created an account after March 2024, it no longer exists. You will need to sign up again to access the forum.
    • If you registered before March 2024 but changed your email, username, or password in the past year, those changes were lost. You’ll need to update your account details manually once you're logged in.
    • Threads and posts created within the last year have been restored.

Our team is working with Xenforo Cloud to recover data using backups, sitemaps, and other available resources. We know this is frustrating, and we deeply regret the impact on our community. We are taking steps with Xenforo Cloud to ensure this never happens again. This is work in progress. Thank you for your patience and support as we work through this.

He really changed his game and is looking confident again this season, I wanted to ask the question do you think he scores 40 again?

I personally think so since he is basically glued with Miller or Pettersson 100% of the time

But Boeser is a streaky player and has has bad seasons, so It's really up in the air

tell me what you guys think

cheers

If the blood clot issue is resolved without lingering effects and he stays healthy I think he’ll be a low 30s goal scorer, but not 40. He definitely benefitted from some puck luck last year, but he also was rejuvenated after a couple years where his head and heart clearly wasn’t in it. Horvat and Kuzmenko leaving also meant a bigger role again on the PP, which should continue.

Last 41 games he had 15 goals and 29 points on 16.1% shooting. Wouldn’t be surprised if that’s more in line with his numbers this year.

He shot close to 20% and his career average before last year was under 13%. If his shooting luck drops back to previous levels he’s going to have to take like another 100+ shots to hit 40 again

If he's healthy. But I don't think he will be.
Sadly this was what happened.

He was not the same after that head shot from Jeannot.

How are the yes's winning this poll? Shameless homerism? Or are people really silly enough to think 20% is a repeatable shooting percentage?
We’ve had our fair share of hiccups in the past, and it was not easy for me to say this. But you did make a decent call about the Canucks in general for this season

Funny enough, with his hot streak, his shooting percentage is now nearly identical to last season (19.6 to 19.2). Granted it’s still not sustainable, but I think it shows that his regression is more about a lower quality of play this year, as well as not having Miller helping him.

Though I thought he played well until the Jeannot hit and has again recently. It’s possible it just took a long time for him to fully recover. Which seems a consistent issue with Boeser and injuries.

Agreed

@wetcoast does Boeser have a top 5 wristshot in the pacific division ?

He is a likeable guy but if I was in charge of the Canucks I would let another team overpay for him in the offseason and he might be one of the guys who doesn't get as much interest as some people think.

He has a very good shot but I prefer to judge players overall instead of breaking down subjective things like a wrist shot.

First thing I thought of is that Shane Wright has a really good wrist shot but so what, each player has to bring more than just their best trait to the table and then we view the overall package.

Lekkerimäki has a really good shot as well.

Perhaps someone else might chime in.
