When the question is if you think he’s already a lock, I assume that means today and if he never played another game
Even if his career ended literally this season, HOF would obviously extrapolate out and not only that but 2 Selkes, 2 finalists (assuming he doesn't win this year which he probably will), 3 finals (again assuming the panthers don't win), 1 cup win is more than enough.

If his career ended today I'd say hes a lock but not on first ballot. Would take a few years before he gets it.

If he builds on his resume from here he could easily become a lock for first ballot. Another cup could be enough. Crazy how hes still underrated

Already? He'd probably be a contentious pick if his playing days were cut short to today. But he'll make it based on the next two-three years of similar production and a lock if he plays 4+ years at a close to or better than current level.

You are asking about right now though, what does finishing with 1,400 pts have to do with this or a few more Selkes. He’ll be 30 years old before the start of next season and doesn’t have 800 pts yet, 1,400 seems a bit of a stretch but certainly doable. I’m not sure if there are many sub 800 pt, sub ppg players there are in the HHOF

He could soon have 3 Selkes’s and was the Captain for Stanley Cup winning team

He has both the team and personal awards and success

He also lives in Florida.
Barkov will not only be a drug kingpin but he would do it "the right way". He would have the ability to take over other territories by dazzling force but would instead play the more patient game to grind the others down into submission. He would be so shy and self-effacing that everyone would respect but underrate him, but somehow surround himself with minions who were absolute scumbags.

Actually, I could see that :D ... Watch out, World!!

He just needs to play some more years doing what he does

Barkov would fit right in the nineties, almost a shame he plays in this era lol

Today I don’t think so. I’d like to see higher Hart placements. By the time he’s done though I think he’ll be a lock.

For stat heads, his possession numbers at age 25 and beyond are spectacular.

2x Selke
1x Lady Byng
1x Stanley Cup
3x Cup finals as the captain of the team

Id say he is a lock for sure. The amount of pmin he takes while beeing a superb defensive C is actually remarkable low. His max/season is 24min. His second is 18min. Its pretty much unheard of when taking the hardest matchups.
