Is an Eastern team finally going to take out Florida this year?

Way too early in the season, better indicators by the trade deadline

Injuries can happen at any point + teams beef up at the TDL

As it stands right now, they still are the best constructed team for the playoffs in the East, that could change at any point though. A freak injury (Not that I wish it) on Barkov and their season is likely over.

Come on, man. Florida will handily dust Toronto in the playoffs. Toronto’s core is no match for Bennett, Tkachuck, Barkov, Reinhart. Goaltending doesn’t matter when the core players are soft as shit.

Plot twist- Bennett and Tkachuk both get major injuries in the meaningless 4 team tournament on Boston ice and don't come back until next season, Panthers eliminated in the first round. The Bruins who miss the playoffs get their revenge by way of shitty ice and at the same time helping the Leafs to go on and win their first cup since 67 in the biggest mindf*** of the 21st century 🤣

Bruins will make the playoffs.
LOL no we won't. And if we do we'll be last season's Capitals. Wrecked in 4 and sent home. I'd actually rather them miss than that

Why are you evening comparing the NFL to the NHL? In the NFL, they play one game per playoff series, in the NHL one series can go to seven (7) games. BIG difference. P
that’s literally the point I was making, you should reread my post and the one I was replying to

They'll make it. The Rangers are done , so are the Isles. And I doubt both the Flyers and Sens overtake them, too much experience.

Honestly I just dont see it. Their main competitors has somehow gotten worse around them.

IDK who will take us out, but I'll consider 2024-25 an unexpected success if we reach the ECF.
I'll repeat others: the blueline just isn't good enough, and I don't see how we add a Top 4 RD. Our goaltending hasn't been able to compensate for Ekblad's further decline and icing multiple 6/7D per game.

Or are the cup champs, 2x Eastern conference champs going to the SCF for the third time in a row?

I still don't see a threat in the Eastern Conference that can go toe to toe with Florida in a best of seven. Do you?

There is no team in the East that is built like Florida is for playoff hockey, top to bottom., front and back and with that much firepower.

Florida's biggest weakness will be whether or not they will have enough gas. So it should be easier this year for Eastern teams to take them out than in previous years.
Too early.....let's see trade deadline deals and then answer your question.

any team beating florida in the east will be in for a hard fought series that will definitely hamper them in later rounds
