It's football season in Columbus. Mid week games always lag in attendance and Fridays/Saturday are for football in these parts. Attendance always picks up when football season ends.

I really don’t get why we “have” to trade Jiricek and I do not agree with them being too “patient” with him. Hes only 20 for gods sake.

For context, Porty’s reference to being too patient with Jiricek was also about having him sit in the press box. Porty feels he needed to be playing and Cleveland could have been on the table earlier.

Even if I've watched the game, I always watch the Sportnet recap. Unlike the NHL recap, there are no ads interrupting the highlights.

I noticed something very interesting in the comments recently; Columbus appears to be a very popular team in Russia. Many of the comments are in Russian, I checked other games and there aren't any Russian comments. Makes sense given how many the Jackets have, but thought it was interesting

I don't have a great place to put this, so I'll try here. Over on the History of Hockey forum, we're running a project where we try to rank the top goaltenders of all time. This means comparing and contrasting goaltenders from all eras of hockey, from all teams, from all leagues. It's obviously very difficult to do this as there's so much context that needs to be accounted for, which is why we do it - it's fun and we learn about history.

That's why I'm here, for context on one Sergei Bobrovsky, who's currently up for voting! Anything you Jackets fans can offer about him from his time in Ohio is wanted in the voting thread right here.
