Goes to show the average quality of Ontario poutines that you think Mcdo's poutine is decent ;)

KFC is only fast food place with decent tasting poutine in Ontario. Wendy's give you not enough everything and their fries suck.

Too bad I don't have Photoshop on this computer to put on those Dat Ass glasses.

Unfortunately, McD's is best in Kanata. I've yet to sample this one, but Maple & Bacon is decent.

There's something about the McD fries that just does not mix well with your classic poutine to me for some reason. They're just way too thin and crispy and the salt kinda drowns everything else. Personal taste thing of course, I know people who like it just fine.

I've never had a McD poutine, but I'm curious... do those "fries" even soften up after some time in the gravy?

Not really, those things will survive a freaking nuclear explosion  . I saw an article somewhere on the net of a guy who put them in a jar for years and they still were essentially the same. I wish I could find it again, it was freaky.

Even then, I'd only call it borderline decent. I totally agree with you about Wendy's though.

Why is McD so stingy on the poutine toppings?

Man we're already paying 5$+ for it, add some food brotha!

If I was a judge on Chopped, I'd tell you that it was run of the mill McDo's poutine with the other ingredients thrown on top. I didn't get enough smoked meat, pickles were an afterthought. Mustard was barely there.

Anyone on here live in the Vancouver area? Either way, I've been out here for 5 years now, and sampled a bunch of poutine. The best one I've had is from Anny's Dairy Bar in New Westminster. It's as close to home as you're going to get! So glad I found this place.
