To even hear Ekholms name mentioned in an injury update at this point is encouraging. Thought his season was done for sure.

As much as I want Ek back, I only want him back at maximum possible health. Coming back too soon is what got him in trouble against the Sharks and we can't afford to be gambling with his health and our chemistry.

If the series is going well just rest him until the finals. But if we need Ekholm you have to play him.

This is how I feel as well. If by chance the team goes up 2-0 or 3-0 you don't take the chance.

I say game 3. They can dictate his minutes much easier at home.

Earlier the better. He'll need some time to acclimate back to playoff speed and we'll need him at 100% in the SCF.
Respectfully I would think he might know a bit more about player status than all of us random guys on a forum?
That said they probably will be very cautious with this as to avoid re-injury. Either way I am hopeful he is back sooner than later and without being rushed back to play.

Whenever he comes back, if he does, they HAVE to go with an 11-7 setup right? We saw what happened last time Ek came back and he played like 30 seconds. If they go 12-6 and that happens again, then you are playing with 5 D the rest of the game. Going 11-7 would also allow you to limit his minutes in the first game, or maybe 2, coming back where he is likely to be more rusty. Taking a guy like Frederic out for a game or 2 isn't going to matter as much as getting Ekholm back up to speed.

IMO he should sit out as long as possible especially if we start the series well.

Really? wow, that is quite the statement from a guy who you would think has at least some inside information or reasonable guess at the very least. It would be HUGE to get him back at even 80% of what he was truthfully, so lets hope Louie is correct.

I think this is a reasonable thing. If the team starts out 2-0 in Dallas (unlikely of course, but just for conversations sake) then I'd be pretty surprised to see them rush Ekhlom in any way.
