Injury Thread '24-‘25 (Post 1 has current injury status)

  • We sincerely apologize for the extended downtime. Our hosting provider, XenForo Cloud, encountered a major issue with their backup system, which unfortunately resulted in the loss of some critical data from the past year.

    What This Means for You:

    • If you created an account after March 2024, it no longer exists. You will need to sign up again to access the forum.
    • If you registered before March 2024 but changed your email, username, or password in the past year, those changes were lost. You’ll need to update your account details manually once you're logged in.
    • Threads and posts created within the last year have been restored.

Our team is working with Xenforo Cloud to recover data using backups, sitemaps, and other available resources. We know this is frustrating, and we deeply regret the impact on our community. We are taking steps with Xenforo Cloud to ensure this never happens again. This is work in progress. Thank you for your patience and support as we work through this.

In the meantime, feel free to join our Discord Server
  • Live threads are back for GDTs, if your thread isn't live report it and a mod will turn it up.
I just saw a brief, maybe 15 second clip of him casually skating around, shooting the odd puck. Hard to get too much info out of that. Not sure if there is footage of him taking part in any drills, that would be helpful. But I think video might only be allowed for the first few minutes of a practice.
Baby steps. Besides, you can't have the guy out there going full bore with 3 weeks left and Gary's spies lurking about.

It’s so annoying to me that teams aren’t open about injury and time periods, not just oilers but league wide

Shit needs to ne investigated

Will McDrai be back in the lineup against the Flames?
Is there any news to them?

No news I don't think. Bowman mentioned in his interview that Drai is likely back before McDavid, so maybe Drai for the Flames game on Saturday in a best case scenario? Then maybe McD sometime last in the next week, like maybe Sharks or Kings game? All pure speculation of course

Hmmm. Sounds kind of nebulous. What does "not day to day yet" mean? I thought he was day-to-day originally so are they lengthening the timeline now? I have a bad feeling these timelines will significantly increase from the original prognosis.
Regula went from week to week to missing the rest of the season. Frederic went from two weeks to at least a month. So who really knows, but the timelines made publicly are merely speculation at this point. I think they will go game by game with this, and as long as the team treads water, they will keep them out, giving them as much rest as possible.

Which I’m fine with. I want them as healthy as possible for the playoffs.

Watch him be ready with one game left and the league punishes the Oilers by taking away all our picks for the next two drafts.
Meanwhile on the same day Landeskog is doing quad Axels and flying around the ice while the league doctor confirms that he is no where near ready to play on the last day of the season but should be fully ready to go day one of the playoffs.

If I was an Oiler, I would've refused to pose or interact with him. Not for any partisan reason, but because I wouldn't want to be used as a prop in someone's campaign.
only Pierre would do something like that, Carney showed up to practice, said his hi hellos, watched the game that night and went on his way. no noise no nothing
