So there's already a paid DLC and the game just launched. I went to install it today and saw for $32 I get some DLC. Seems like they're just excluding content there. Am I missing something?

If you're talking about the Order of Giants DLC, it isn't out yet. It's similar to Starfield where they're selling future DLC as part of the premium edition of the game.

I feel like that’s going to be the new model. You can’t go back to selling games, that’s like putting the toothpaste back in the tube for Xbox. Exclusives gotta be on gamepass. Day 1 dlc ain’t that crazy.

Finally dug my teeth into it. This game f***ing rules.

Starts off perfectly with the callback to Raiders and then is basically a shot for shot translation of how you would imagine an Indy movie to start; strange happenings, Indy gets curious about the "why" of it all and off he f***ing goes to another corner of the world to engage in tomfoolery.

It's not open world persay, but it does appear each major part of the story is going to have a hub world with a bunch of side stuff. Been screwing around with that in the Vatican mostly since a lot of the "mysteries" quests are essentially bite sized puzzles that while not particularly complicated will at least have you thinking for a moment as you try to piece together the clues/bits of info it gives you.

And as mentioned, this isn't a pure stealth game either. You can absolutely go balls out and just beat the crap out of everyone if you choose. Enemy AI can be adjusted separately in each aspect if you feel something is too easy but want to keep the other the same.

Just got to the Vatican and really loving it. Seems like there's a lot of stuff in these open areas that you could ignore if you wanted to, or you could hang out and see everything it has to offer.

Great looking upgrade though you can see why the mode came in with the day 1 patch, it still needs some work. The Series X vs maxed PC comparison shots are pretty impressive.

Finished it. Honestly this felt like the most Indiana Jones thing to Indiana Jones since Last Crusade.

It's obvious the writers took heavy inspiration from Raiders. Voss is basically just a cranked up version of Toht. Gina is essentially a Marion stand-in, the big reveal/relic is from the same general religious lore (also stupidly well hidden as there's almost no hints is to what the great circle actually ends up being) as that movie as well.

This is also how you write an Indy with flaws given his "welp i'm out byeeee!" to go on this expedition while leaving all the shit at home behind, which kinda plays into the underlying theme of the game and is a whole ass side quest. Far better than turning him into a depressed, disheveled mess so some other chick no one gives a shit about can take center stage like they did with Dial of Destiny.

Few solid set pieces/chase type scenes that would be right at home in the movie.

Well done and i hope we get sequels down the line. Disney can keep their shit, leave Indy in Bethesda's hands.
