Pre-Game Talk: In like a Lion, out like a Lamb... 1 more at home, then 3 game roadie. Flamers, B2B at CBus/Hawks, and at B-Lose

Is Girard injured or just a day off?

Nobody asked what’s wrong with Girard. Bednar voluntarily said he’s out of the lineup tonight.

Nobody asked why Blackwood didn’t practice or why Mandolese was called up. Bednar voluntarily said Blackwood will play tomorrow night and this “gave them a chance to get some work done with Blackwood.”

Nobody asked why MacKinnon doesn’t practice anymore.

Nobody asked what’s going on with Manson.

Avs Mafia.

Actually it won’t be a bad idea to start giving players day off. Sit Nate for a game, then Makar for another game etc..

The standings. :whatever:

The Stars are 4 points behind the Jets and have a game in hand.
I'm also good with playing the Jets. I hope the Avs pick it up, but at this point I don't really care who they play. Round 1 is hard no matter what. I would say until they got Blackwood I didn't even think the team would make the Playoffs.

One of the reasons (maybe the only reason) the Stars are motivated to play well down the stretch is that they want to chase down Winnipeg and dodge the Avalanche in the 1st Round. That is very possible at this point. And I'm OK with that.

The Avs position has been fixed for a while. There's very little marginal return for the Avs to go all out over the next couple of weeks. I'm OK generating loser points for a while. Just don't get (more) injured.

Weirdly, Winnipeg doesn't scare me the same way Dallas does.

Nothing weird about that.

Florida, Dallas, and Colorado are widely considered the top 3 Stanley Cup favourites post-deadline.

The betting odds all reflect that belief.
