Pre-Game Talk: In like a Lion, out like a Lamb... 1 more at home, then 3 game roadie. Flamers, B2B at CBus/Hawks, and at B-Lose

Personally… I don’t think the second line has been good enough to warrant keeping the best wingers on Nelson’s wing.

I’d go back to classic Bednar style hockey, which is your best forwards on the top line:

Nichushkin - MacK - Necas
Lekhonen - Nelson - Drouin

I think Lehky needs to be stapled to Mack. Lehky doesn’t add enough offensively away from Mack imo and Nelson doesn’t drive play well enough to off get Lehky going offensively imo.

Expect more line f***ery tonight.

Charlie Coyle in second line burgundy alongside Brock Nelson... at least in practice.

Bednar is not an idiot. I am sure he knows the lines that work the best.

But in the playoffs, if shit happens, he needs to know which combinations are a good fit. I don't mind him trying shit out to see what sticks, I imagine with 2-3 games to go he will move the lines back together ready for the playoffs, but while we have the luxury to do so why not figure out what our options are if we lose a guy or two in the playoffs. Being prepared for any number of eventualities would be helpful, rather than experimenting when it really counts in the playoffs.

Yeah, especially now that we really don't have anything to play for. The Blues/Wild are not catching us, we are not catching Dallas. Experiment, rest guys, whatever.
