Where did you find your avatar? Is that Kovy behind Henrique? I can never tell haha

I think it's a still from a video that Henrique made for the Windsor Spitfires as an alumnus of that team. Kovy decided to photobomb him by lurking in the background of the shot.

You are correct.

The still kept popping up everywhere. Once I found out where it came from... I stole it forever. Except for the couple of times that changed it.

Yeah, but don't you think Lou put some kind of gag order on Kovy and his agent? We can't know that, but I suspect so.

Apparently it had to do with insurance as Lou stated per TG that if he had given an official approval then insurance wouldn't cover if something happened. So being smart the agent, Kovy, nor Lou said anything.

I like your avatar lol, I barely 'recognized' you when you switched for a few days

It wound up being so similar to so many other people's, I could barely find my own posts

I wanted to change to something more hockey-like in light of the season starting up, but **** that I guess. I like this one anyway.

The team that's fourth in their conference standings and is willing to spend more money than anyone in order to win (they have the second-highest payroll in the league).

It'd be nice, for once, if we didn't have to hold our breath every time one of our guys became free agents.

They're Russian oligarchs with unlimited funds that aren't used to hearing the word "no" and will spend whatever they need to in order to get what they want. The ideal owners, methinks. We had it, briefly, with Steinbrenner. Too bad he didn't really care much about the team. Still cool that Lou got a World Series ring though.

Out of them only Prokhorov could be named an oligarch. He is a one of the richest in the world. Though this term doesn't suit very well. It suggests some proximity, connection to the governance, but actually he is in opposition. Medvedev is just employee in a state-run company and he can't afford to buy NHL team

If I ever changed mine, there would be mass confusion.

Yeah Brodeur is the only one on our team that went through 3. I know Hamrlik was talking about this being his 3rd. Rolston was on our 95 Cup team so it's his 3rd as well. Probably a handful more around the league, I'm sure. Jagr, Selanne, Pronger.

Did Rolston sign anywhere? I think he's done, and he said as the other day that he probably is. Same interview where he said he talked to Zach, and told him he'll love it in Minnesota! Cause the building is loud, and isn't like what he's used to with the Devils. Really trying not to let his second stint here ruin my perception of him, but seriously to hell with that bum!

To be fair, Minnesota is crazy over hockey.

I'm aware of this. I hate when guys who played for us especially a guy who was a bum for much of his second tenure, subtly takes a shot at our attendace, and fans. Not that he's the first guy. Parise, and Langenbrunner both did it while they were playing for us.

Minnesota is the home for American hockey. Its a hot bed and the fans packed that place for a decade with a mediocre team. I would love to go to a game there.

I know Minnesota loves hockey, but don't they enjoy college and high school hockey more? Like in Texas, they love football, but high school football takes precedence.

Eh, it's nothing to get mad over. To me, it's hilarious.

Firstly, it's not like Rolston accomplished much outside of NJ... but I can understand some overhanging bitterness from being ex-Isled. (boo, I know)

Secondly, hockey is the only major North American sport that gives two ***** about fan culture. I mean yeah, there are always jokes at other teams expense... but to the point where we talk about them "deserving" a team or not.
I don't understand what voids slagging on other teams fanbases fulfills, but so be it.

Devils aren't going anywhere, so after a while of trying to be reasonable... all you can do is laugh at people who can literally think of nothing else other than how many seats are vacant around the league.
