The team sucks but people acting like Igor is a helpless victim here are out to lunch. He’s part of the reason they suck. How many back breaking goals, softies to put them in a hole early? Multiple goals within 2 minutes at the worst rate in the league. Vally pointed out how he has one of the worst save % in the league when the game is tied. He has responsibility here.

When Igor signed his deal ppl justified it being like “it’s basically the same % of the cap” when to me that proves exactly why he’s overpaid. He doesn’t deserve the same % of the cap Hank did. He’s no Hank, he’ll never be Hank.

Remember “you could never rebuild with Lundqvist he’s too good he wouldn’t let you” and the fact he never played a meaningless regular season game until 2018 lmao. 13 years into his career. You can rebuild as much as you like with Igor, he won’t stand in the way.

Igor is a fraud. We’re screwed 11.5 on the cap until he’s 38.

How dare you blame Igor. Jk. Anytime I say anything bout him I get told that he has great numbers. As I said his numbers have gotten worse every year for 4 seasons now. Why sign him to that contract. He is not even top 20 in the league

The worst part about it all is that he has at least as much talent as Hank. He's just a mental midget. He's a more talented, greedier Georgiev.
 
Despite the circumstances, i think Igor had a fairly decent season.

Finished the season 7th in Goals saved above expected, tied second in the NHL in shut outs.

Obviously people expect more from him, but he was still significantly better than Swayman and Saros
