If you had to Invest in a Jersey, Which One Would You Choose?

I'm thinking of picking up an Adidas jersey. Does anyone know where I can go get a name stitched on? Preferably in Manhattan or Queens. I voted Kakko, but I want Kravtsov.

It depends on your income - if a jersey is a luxury purchase - like you're going to treat yourself for your birthday or something, go with someone from the '94 cup team. you'll never look out of place at MSG wearing a Messier/Leetch/Graves/Richter jersey. Wearing a Callahan or Hagelin jersey on the other hand...

If money is no object, just get your current favorite player.

I saw a game worn Russian National Shetryorkin jersey posted in a forum the other day. Red with the sponsor patches on the arms. It was glorious.

Well still have my Callahan jersey I still enjoy wearing, but also have a Mika (Away) jersey and a Kreider (Home) jersey. Have no issues wearing the Cally jersey especially now that he is retiring.

I may invest into a Panarin (Home) one. Saw them in the NHL store already in the city. Was tempted but will wait a little, lol.

Didn't he have consensual sex with a 16 year old at the age of 19?

In 1994, Tibbetts plead guilty to statutory rape, based on a 1992 interaction between a 17-year-old Tibbetts and a 15-year-old girl.[1] His sentence was suspended for 42 months. However, in 1995, while on probation for the statutory rape case, Tibbetts was convicted of assault and battery with a dangerous weapon (a BB gun), disorderly conduct and witness intimidation.[2][3] As a result, Tibbetts served 39 months in prison;[4] the sentence on the assault and battery charges was 30 months, but it would be served concurrently with the previously suspended sentence for rape. As a result of the convictions, Tibbetts had to register as a sex offender and could not play games in Canada.[5]

Do you know what statutory rape is?

The last sweater I bought was a Jed Ortmeyer Liberty. I think it's tacky wearing sweaters and jerseys as a grown man unless you're at a game, and I don't really go to games anymore. So basically, I would be a terrible person to ask, LOL.

Yeah, that's exactly how I feel. I go to one or two games a year and wouldn't wear a jersey otherwise.

Anyone know a good site to buy the quality made in Canada authentics? Seems like the rest are pretty sketchy these days.

I'm forever happy with my Lundqvist jersey. Past Rangers like Messier or Richter I'd go for personally.

But franchise goalies usually have more longevity than players because it's such an important position less likely to be traded if he does well. Example: Richter & Lundqvist. Shesterkin has a lot of potential to be next in line, but I'd wait a season or two until he proves himself first.

Kakko is the safest bet if you don't want to wait since there's insurance due to him being #2 overall for the Rangers so even if he flopped there's historical merit behind the jersey given the Rangers draft history.

I have an Away Breadman jersey on the way.

I’ll definitely be doing a Kakko Jersey when it becomes available, and especially getting one if they do a rumored third.

I think if you only had to buy one though, I’d probably do Kakko. He’ll be here for the next 10/15 years, and he’s going to be a superstar.
