If you got to get one player in his current form from the cup year back..

Kronwall is good with the stick and doesn't get knocked around much in the crease. Buff has not had much of any success against a physically capable dman in his career.

I disagree, I think he's had success against some of the most physically capable Dmen. Aside from maybe Douglas Murray, Buff is hard to move, you don't even need him to score, he just needs to be around the net drawing attention.

Weber iced him to the point he was worthless in 2010. He never scored on Pronger (except from 120 feet with an EN), Vancouver didn't have Mitchell, etc.

Byfuglien only works against weaker defensive pairs (with rare exception) and matchups are very tough to get on the road. They even stopped messing around with the idea in ATL/WPG because he couldn't do anything down low reliably against capable defensive pairs. Teams have figured out how to neutralize space on Chicago, the forwards have to move the puck to open up room for buff, it was not the otherway around. We've seen teams figure out how to keep the Hawks from moving the puck all over. Teams aren't going to defend Chicago like they did in 2010.

1st Big Buff
2nd Ladd
3rd Campbell (I hated his contract, but loved his QB skills and puck movement were awesome)
