If you could start over any player’s career..

Joe Thornton so I could see his sad, soulless eyes in the losing team’s handshake line 20 more times.
He’s still got it

Aside from the superstars of the past, I’d love to see Daigle get a shot in this era, and ideally on a less historically awful team placing so much pressure on him.

I don't think Daigle would have had a great career in any era, he didn't love the game and only played because he was good at it.

Lane Hutson, I missed his first pass, his first smile, his first slapshot.

Yeah you can see some others who were decent (Orr, Lemieux, Gretzky, Howe etc), but there's only one Lane.

I always wonder what kind of career Luc Bourdon would have had if not for tragedy. Probably be retiring just about now.

Pavel Bure was definitely before his time, without the ability to waterski him I think he would been a perpetual scoring leader in modern hockey.

Bobby orr and Mario. With how reffing is today, they would be total f***ing beasts and would likely never have the serious injuries that plauged them in their time.
Mario is too easy of an answer his production would be likely the same people would gamelan and put up a soccer wall so he doesn't walk in and absolutely embarrass the whole team including the bench

Gilbert Perreault and and Pavel Bure maybe potting as well

I don't know where to start. Sometimes they are developed properly, they just aren't able to play at the NHL level. Sometimes when I see redrafts they're irrelevant because not only do we not know, but if we were to think back to that time period the same answer would usually be we still take the player who was taken at that position and such.

But one player I found got developed poorly was Alexandre Daigle and believe he deserves a second chance. Say he wasn't drafted by Ottawa which wasn't the best idea given they're a new team and is coming in with super high expectations. Like if he went to Tampa he likely has less pressure and likely becomes a better player.

I'll say Colin Wilson for fun and say would've liked to have seen Chicago draft him rather than Nashville. I think he would've been awesome on Toews' line.

Kariya, Lemieux, Orr, Richard, Radulov, Kovalev.

For those who said Lindros because he wouldn't get hurt. Sure, but if he was the same style of player, he'd get suspended for life eventually.

A completely injury free Peter Forsberg.
The league sorely misses an exciting goalie of any kind, and Hasek was the king of kings.
Prime Ales Hemsky on the current Oilers, not because we need him, but because he deserves it.
