I will block every single Toronto news/media outlet for the next 3 months.
Then I’ll wait for Sportsnet to convene their panel and declare that the Jets won’t make the playoffs next year.
If the leafs win the cup I won't watch TSN or Sportsnet for at least 2 years

I'm hoping this thread is locked tomorrow.

This season has been fun. I didn't get to watch much hockey last year because I played so much hockey, which is always more fun. Listening to games on the radio for brief moments while flooding rinks.

I went to my first hockey games since Covid this year, starting with the home opener against the Blackhawks in memorium of my dad who took me to see my first ever game against the Hawks.

I've watched the majority of games this year with my mom, who felt the loss the most after 50 years of marriage. Even when my dad could barely see, he still enjoyed watching the games. My grandpa always had the Jets games on. I can remember watching the 1990 heartbreak with him and the family huddled around. Sitting around the crib board talking hockey over a few drinks. I got to take my mom to one game this year, her first in 40 years, the Dallas game where fans ran Oettinger out of the rink.

This year felt different. Maybe it's Scott Arniel behind the bench, who played in the Jets first ever NHL playoff. Maybe it's the resiliency of a team many didn't expect to achieve much, but kept finding ways to win.

If ends tonight, it will be gut wrenching. To achieve so much and accomplish so little. Especially with Scheifele watching from the sidelines.

But it will still be a memorable season, and I am hoping that this team finds a way to go far enough to eliminate the Oilers in front of fans.

Move on with life and enjoy my summer. If losing affects you that much you need to take drastic action of boycotting or stop following the team, I suggest start with therapy as you have more issues in your life.

It's grown men playing a kids game. No need to take it so serious.

I will bitch, whine, and complain…I will call for Chevy to be fired and players to be traded….I will demand changes…then I will begin the process all over again next season by cheering for the WINNIPEG JETS from day 1 of pre-season on

It’s what we do

GO JETS GO

Finally someone said something like this. I've been thinking it, but trying to avoid pregame conflict. Some people around here really need to put sports into perspective and just enjoy the moments has they happen. Today we have a glorious spring day, and the downtown will be packed with people having fun. And I will be one of them. Enjoy the moments!

Agreed. While I'll be dissapointed I have a full slate of stuff on the go for the summer. At the end of the day it's entertainment and I can say win or lose I have gotten my money's worth from the team this year.

Once the season starts again I'll be excited to see any changes to the team and how they do.

It’s tough because we want to celebrate the successes of the team. And only one team can win the cup. But to lose in the first round would be devastating. And I think really demands accountability from the organization. But we have seen time and again there is no accountability.

When Chipman said Chevy had a life time contract it really showed their hand. Their goal is to make the playoffs and get 2-3 games of revenue. That’s the business plan. That’s the measure of success for the Jets.

I mean they put the best team this year on the ice. It's really up to the players now to show that they can raise their level and be the best team in the playoffs.

I'm sure it's worth a significant amount to Chipman that this team goes far. More playoff, merchandise and season ticket revenue.

The only thing I worry about with Helle is he somehow ends up in our division and haunts us for the next 7 years. I really don't want a Rantanen situation arising if we move him.

Longtime Arsenal fan, born into it, multi generations, and The Invincibles were just before me time. A long, red, legacy of incompetence, broken promises, higher prices and seemingly eternal mediocrity. And then, from nowhere, we beat Madrid.

The stages are Anger, from Hell well we called it to We were that effing close! to Fire everybody!

Anger, followed by resignation, followed by hope. As long as there's a sport and a team -- your team -- there's hope.

That's why sports has seasons. And fans.

I'll be ticked for a few days for sure and might not watch playoffs until the final.
In the past I started to study potential draft picks for the first and second rounds....this year we are picking last so my enthusiasm is bleh unfortunately.

He won't be moved but hope he is ready tonight.
If anything they will look or should look at reducing his regular season games. Jennings and Vezina be damned !

It seems that is the business plan but there is another very good team playing against them. The Jets won with defence. This series they have not been able to play their team defence game . It comes down to losing board battles and net front presence. Blues blue print has worked . Jets need to disrupt Binnington. Unfortunately,Chevy has not really created that kind of team.

If he was a team player, he would make sure that the back-up gets at 25-28 games.
He just seems to care about his personal stats.

Without a miracle come back chevy should be fired by 8am. But he won’t be. It’s just another year of playoff failure. I’m going to send true North an application because it’s great. You can fail at
Your job and never lose it.
