If the area you live in had a team, who would be on it?

Gonna make a current and former from Prince Edward Island. Current are bold.

Gerard Gallant-Brad Richards-Al MacAdam
Errol Thompson-Bob MacMillan-Dave Cameron
Bill MacMillan-John Chabot-Darryl Boyce
Charles Cahill-Steve Ott-Wes Trainor

Had to move a few centres to wing, really not much to choose from.

Bob Stewart-Adam McQuaid
Brandon Gormley-Mark Flood
John Hughes-Kent Paynter

Gary Simmons
Drew MacIntyre

I think Newfoundland and Labrador defeats this team lol... Thoughts?

Let's see,...

This Canuck has been living and working in South Korea for the last 12 years, and Richard Park was born in Seoul, and as a quality Bottom-6 role player for the NHL's Islanders for years, last playing for the Penguins in 2012 and in Switzerland the last two years, he'd be a 38-year-old playing assistant coach for the squad.

Esa Tikkanen last played in Ansan, South Korea in 2005 as a 40-year-old playing coach, scoring 25 points in 30 games. I saw him play live. He wasn't very physical but he sure put the puck on net a lot!

So, there's our head coach Tikkanen and playing assistant coach Park. Er,... maybe some players of Japanese and Chinese descent might come on board (as they're neighbours):

27-year-old winger Devin Setoguchi has played in the NHL and AHL this season.

29-year-old winger Brandon Yip is in the AHL after some success as a Bottom-6 NHL role player for the Avalanche a few years back.

27-year-old former 1st round pick center Ryan O'Marra was born in Tokyo and is tearing up the British Elite League this season with Coventry.

29-year-old former Dallas Stars 2nd round winger Raymond Sawada is scoring a point-plus per game right now in Belfast.

18-year-old first round draft pick center Joshua Ho-Sang, channeling his Chinese grandpa, is in the OHL right now.

Team Taro Tsujimoto

coaches Tikkanen, Park

Raymond Sawada - Ryan O'Marra - Devin Setoguchi
Richard Park - Joshua Ho-Sang - Brandon Yip
Anyone else?

Of course, it'd look better if Siberians were included. :naughty:

No comment on the skaters... but to be honest, not a bad lineup in net! Good work Illinois!

I'll try a Team Manitoba:

Patrick Sharp - Jonathon Toews - Eric Fehr
Dustin Penner - Alex Steen - Dale Weise
Matt Calvert - Cody Eakin - Mark Stone
Cody McLeod - Travis Zajac - Ryan Reaves

Duncan Keith - Travis Hamonic
Justin Falk - Michael Stone
Colby Robak - Bryce Salvador

James Reimer

TL;DR - You're welcome for the awesome team, Chicago. ;)

From Oulu, Finland (or born nearby, I think they all played in Oulu in juniors), with only currently active players who've played in the NHL and/or regularly in the national team:

Jussi Jokinen - Mikael Granlund - Juhamatti Aaltonen (NT regular, was at the Olympics)
Janne Pesonen (NT player, WC gold medalist... and 7 NHL games) - Markus Granlund - Mika Pyörälä (36 games for the Flyers, lots of NT games & WC gold)
Miikka Salomäki (Nashville prospect) - Esa Pirnes (1 NHL season with LA!) - Hannes Hyvönen (2 seasons partly in the NHL, plenty of NT games)
XX - XX - XX

Joni Pitkänen - Lasse Kukkonen
Topi Jaakola (no NHL games but plenty of NT appearances & WC gold medal) - XX
XX - XX

Pekka Rinne
XX (maybe you can count Bäckstrom, not from here but first became any good when playing here)

Maybe you can count Niklas Hagman as well, not from anywhere near here but did play here when still quite young. Also, Janne Niinimaa retired not so long ago... That's a big loss for this team :(

For a reasonably small city not in Canada, that's a pretty decent amount of players with NHL experience I'd say.

Jordan Eberle - Taylor Hall - Kris Versteeg
Dany Heatley - Joe Colborne - Mason Raymond
Jay Beagle - Adam Lowry - Devin Setoguchi
Brandon Kozun - Rob Klinkhammer - Patrick Eaves
Rick Rypien

Tyler Myers - Karl Alzner (bit of a stretch, lives here in off-season)
Kris Russel - Braydon Coburn
Chris Phillips - Mike Green
Thomas Hickey

Devon Dubnyk
Chad Johnson

Would get destroyed by Edmonton/N. Alberta. Probably the worst of the Canadian NHL cities. Some decent prospects though:
William Nylander
Hunter Shinkaruk
Matt Dumba
Josh Morrissey

According to a google search, there are only 4 NHL players born in Florida. None are currently active. The highest scoring one was Dan Hinote, who had 90 points in 503 games.

Team North Carolina would consist of

Josh Wesley, JT Brown, Ben Smith, and Patrick O'Sullivan. (Sullivan and Wesley were not born here but were raised here)

Then the rest of the team would just consist of beer league guys.

Cup here we come :sarcasm:

Can I get a #satinforselke campaign going? :sarcasm:
