If Ottawa misses the playoffs, do you think Brady Tkachuk will ask for a trade?

What do you think?

This is Brady's 7th season with the sens, and it looks like they might not make the playoffs again. Assuming they do miss, do you think he will ask for a trade?

Note, his brother Matthew made the playoffs with the flames 4/6 times, and still left. Would Brady really stick around for another season, in your opinion?

Unfortunately yes I think he will, especially since his NMC will kick in next summer so he will control where he goes, and after spending 7 years here without getting close to seeing a playoff game. He has no ties to the city historically and he just saw his brother lift the cup a few month ago while not playing a single playoff game himself, I can't blame him too much at this point with the outlook of the current lineup. I doubt he wants to spend the rest of his prime on a bottom dweller anymore. There should be a major shakeup shakeup this offseason if they don't make the cut again this year.

Ottawa will need to be sure he’s committed. He begins trade protection in July. So then leverage switches at that point.

No. All his friends are on the team. He's the captain and face of the franchise. He just had a young kid and is starting a family in Ottawa.

If he asks for a trade it will be because the media and fans will turn on him if the losing continues and essentially run him out of town like they did with Spezza.

Yea, especially after his brother left his team and saw immediate success. Yes, the Flames had an older core and their best player had just left but seven straight years of an early offseason is frustrating for any player. I dont think he want to spend his prime years watching the playoffs from the comfort of his home.
