So if I'm playing this game correctly, you would presumably be drafting say 1st and 4th, or 2nd and 5th, etc. etc. rather than all at once.

I think that likely pushes the Leaf players higher up the list than might otherwise be true when factoring in contracts. You have more space if you can get a cheaper contract later in the draft.

Considering current production, position, age, and contract status, I think most teams would take Stützle over Marner if we’re talking about “starting a franchise”.
