I think it is that I do think we should make a move. but if the move is made even if the costs aren't stupid it doesn't make it so we are gauranteed to advance out of the first round much less past the ECF.. but WTF do I know...

Gibson made a handful of good saves, but we didn't really look dangerous all night. The Ducks had the better chances and buried them.

What was said was that it doesn’t make a difference. If true, why would any team ever make a deadline trade? Guarantee, sure nothing will guarantee a result. But make no difference either way?
