Who do you want to see selected?

There shouldn’t be any assumption that the team will be good in ten years, even if they hire someone good. At one point Lou was seen as the “right hire”, the team is currently playing in a new arena, and the owners spend to the cap. Here we are now.
I’m not assuming they will be good but I like their chances not to be bad. You seem to think the team will be bad and any free agent will leave.

So your expecting the Isles will never win during his career? Maybe you should follow another team.
Why should I? I’m a glutton for punishment. I’ve been waiting 40 years just to get back to the Finals. What’s another 10 more?

I’d only worry if the Isles picked 5th but even with a lottery win, that’s not in the cards.

Then again, if we win the lottery and then trade down to #5…
If we win the lottery we should start a goalie draft rankings thread .. I know I would certainly not want the next Gaborik or Heatley on my team … then we trade Sorokin for a young forward and a big dummy . History repeats itself

I like Hagens. The local factor plays a small role, but I've been high on him for a while. I think he will transition well to the pros and could help us sooner than later.
Hagens has a great set of hands, is a great set up man, and has played with Eiserman in the past. It would be a home run if we got him.

I voted for Misa though, I feel he’s the best player in the draft.

Wow, Canada is destroying Sweden in the final game, 5-0 after 2 periods. Brady Martin with 2 goals. Jack Ivankovic is working on his 2nd straight shutout. Jackson Smith has a goal as well, playing well in the final game.

I'm voting for Hagens - his speed tipped the scales in his favor. But I'd be very happy with Frondell or Martone as well.
