After watching a bunch of Hagens youtube videos I am sold on him. Seems like the one complaint i see over and over and over about him and why he may drop is he might be to small. But every single one of these vids preference that by saying he probably is the best offensive player int he draft. He is 5'11 from heaven's sakes it's not like he is Theo Fleury height.
The players I see when watching the vids is he sort of looks like a Sakic or Yzerman or in modern comparison Nick Suzuki . Now I am not saying he will ever reach the level of the first 2 guys that would be a best case scenario but I don't think it's out of the question he plateaus at a Nick Suzuki level of play which would make him a great pick(especially if we can pick up a couple of assets in getting him). Ironically or not all the guys I mentioned I looked up their height, 5'11
I know most people hate the "marketing" argument but the idea of 2 US born players(Eiserman and Hagens) putting up a lot of goal and points is a NHL marketing wet dream. it's almost as if fate has made this scenario that would have seemed unlikely 1 year ago come to fruition.
My suggestion is find a way to draft Hagens, let him play 1 more year in college to "bulk" up and have both the guys here for the 2026/27 season
