I'd be bitter to if my team was paying Nylander more than him.

Losing Ullmark and Debrusk without replacing either is a different team. And for the record, Pastrnak is the reason the team hasn't been in the basement the past few years.

He's been getting ~60% more goals and points than #2 the past 3+ seasons. No one on the team besides him has had 30 goals or 70 points since 2021-22

I’m really bitter my team is fighting for 1st in the division while the Bruins are sitting in 10th in the East. You got me BigBadBruins7708!

Only 3 players get to be nominated and no he’s not going to be considered. There’s probably 5 or more guys in the conversation over him.

He’s a hell of a player but the bruins are just not that good to get him a nomination.
What happens when you remove Pastrnak from the Bruins?

Bro finally gets his time to semi-shit talk. It’s been your entire lifetime so I’ll let you have this one.

The people that vote on the trophy also get to write stories about it. So it's whatever player they think will create the best narrative. I'm pretty cynical about the vagueness of the whole thing and with the inconsistent, unwritten rules. Just make it for the best forward already like the Norris and Vezina awards are to their positions.

they have this goalie called swayman, they added two of the biggest available UFAs, in lindholm and zadarov hahah.
The Bruins are a tire fire this season tho. Watch a game, it’s a mess out there.
If (I’m not sure they will, but string together a win streak any anything’s possible) they make the playoffs Pasta should absolutely be in the conversation.

What do people think he would have to do in his current situation to be nominated?

Seems to me he'd have to become the GM and make trades and improve the roster to get consideration.lol

I think a nomination would be fitting. Not a win. But I don't think he gets nominated.

That’s why I can kinda see OP’s argument, creates a Hall-esque storyline.

No, he didn't even make the 4 nations unlike the captain Marchand, if anyone gets Hart consideration on the Bruins it should be him. Gold winner and inspiring Pasta to play as well as he is through his leadership.

Explain why?
Okay here is what the OP is saying and this all assumes that the Bruins squeak into the playoffs which is what 50/50?

Talk about dragging a team along….

He has like 27 more points than any other Bruins player and seems to be the entire offense of that team.

With zero support, if he’s able to drag the Bruins to the post season does he win or at minimum be a finalist for the Hart?
He has 27 more points than the next player as a forward so let's consider Quinn Hughes who has 23 more points and is a +10 on a team that is -128, Pasta is 0 on a team with a -61.

So there goes that argument but of course the OP will hope that Hughes misses the playoffs then.

The other problem is that you have the frontrunners for the Hart right now that a survey of the actual voters have on their radar already.

Depends on how you define consideration. Will be nominated? Going to be tough with Draisaitl, Mackinnon, Hughes, Kucherov and Hellebucyk all having great seasons.

Pasta doesn't have a compelling enough of an argument over all of these guys and that's the battle.

The other teams in the east have games in hand and Boston is playing today and need to beat the Wild as playing behind with less games makes every game more urgent.

Perhaps that's because he is Czech and they didn't have a team there?

You might want to think about you argument before posting next time, just saying.

I feel like the B's have as good a shot as anyone. Hoping they figure out a forward trade to help Pasta in the next week.

1) No one gets nominated…sorry, huge pet peeve for me…I’m working on it. There will likely be 15-20 players that get consideration (votes), he’ll be one of them but no chance in winning in my mind.

2) What is it about this year that makes him stand out? Last he he finished 43pts ahead of his next teammate and his team finished 6th overall. He was 8th in Hart voting. This year he’s on pace for about a 37pt lead on second on his team, which is currently 19th overall.

Increase his already blistering 17 game run, have the Bruins play .800+ hockey from here on out, and have the current top 3, Draisaitl, MacKinnon, Hellebuyck, as well as others ahead of him like Kucherov and Hughes, all completely collapse.

Imagine being tied with McD and not being good enough.lol It'd be fun to see him and Drai switch teams and see who's point total is higher. Like I say, he won't get nominated but he's putting in a heroic effort right now.

Says more about McDavid than Pasta. Having his worst season ever, but it would be enough to get nominated elsewhere.

I get your point though. I think it’s too little, too late for Pasta and the Bruins. No issue seeing a crazy scenario unfold though.

I sometimes wish that I was this type of fan but I'm not.

Luckily I have learned to just appreciate good hockey and while I'm still a Canucks fan I'm not this type of fan.
Not my team. I'm an Oiler fan and I'm positive they are going to the playoffs.lol Same with Nucks. Hopefully we meet!
