He looked really good in the rookie tournament and even in that 4 minutes. What a shame. I am not sure if pro hockey will work out for Scott unfortunately.

Sucks. Our most talented goalie. Better toolbox than Campbell or Mrazek, unfortunately even more injury prone than either of them. The most important ability for a goalie is reliability.

He will never be better than those two goalies.

Without the full details of the injury, not sure why people are acting like his career is over.

He had bounce in his step going off the ice so it could be a tweak. Obviously bad news given his history, but severity? TBD.

Have been impressed with him so far in this camp. Strong rookie tourney and a good 5 minutes or so tonight coming in cold after barely playing last year.

Groin? Seemed like he was moving pretty quick back to the dressing room during the telecast - honestly thought he was rushing for a bathroom break.

Tough luck, nice save on Cole though with the blocker.

Poor kid. Breaks my heart. I believe there is something there. Speedy recovery my dude.

I hope you Shine to your potential kiddo.

We all know it's there. Adversity makes you stronger.

A Saiyan indeed.

This will be his last NHL contract. He can't stay healthy. I agree that when healthy he is an interesting prospect, he's a good goalie. But, he can't string any games together. He's spent the majority of his pro career rehabbing injuries.

Feel for the guy... these injuries have gotta take a toll on him mentally.

Hope he keeps his head up & gets healthy (again) soon.

I believe this guy has 6 pro level starts since 2018-19 due to injuries and pandemic circumstances. At 22, he's not old, but the question will be how does he get healthy enough to make up that lost time? And does he have the physical make up to withstand light hockey conditions?

50 starts a year in Junior so he wasn't always glass. As long as this isn't related to the hip thing I wouldn't write him off yet, but if he can't stay healthy he will be leapfrogged by other prospects and there won't be a space for him to advance into. He isn't out long term until someone says he is so gingers are crossed this is nothing major.

The poor guy. This happens sometimes. Some athletes just can't stay healthy enough to even get their professional career going. And groin issues is killer for goalies.
