What about putting a letter together and sending something to Wang. At this point we all see what's wrong with this team. We can put together a letter and sign it with our HF user handles and town, state and send it to Wang. Let's send the message that we're tired of the "rebuild. Either give us a deserving team or sell the team to someone who will.

Thoughts?

I hate to be a debbie downer, but it wouldn't make a difference. It would get read by some public relations entry-level guy and at best you'd receive some vague response about "understanding the frustration" but that there's a "plan" and "process" and all the usual crap.

Yeah, but at the very minimum shouldn't we try?

I'll even type and sign the letter for all of you. Hell I will even mail it to everyone in the Isles organization till we get an answer we deserve. Maybe even get the media involved. Something needs to give here. We all complain and moan about Wang. Now its time for action!!!!

I'm totally with you here, I would love to sign some letter to express our frustration.

If someone proposes himself to write the letter, that would be nice. If we can't find anybody, I can always try to do the initial draft...

Listen, do you really think Wang gives a **** what fans think or feel ? He's an ego maniac who only cares about what he thinks or feels. And he doesn't care about this team, he only cared about real estate when he bought this team. He doesn't care if this team loses, he doesn't care if he puts a ****** product on the ice. He only cares about the almighty dollar, and even though he has billions, he wants more. He claims he losing money, trust me, he's cooking the books, he's making plenty of dough from the Islanders and he wants to keep it that way.

He has his puppet Snow, who actually tries to make people believe that HE believes he has the horses to make the playoffs. It's absolutely nauseating to watch Snow in an interview, spewing his ********, he's just a nauseating bloated former athlete trying to fool people who can't be fooled. Watching Howie Rose interview Snow, trying his best to throw in a few tough questions intertwined with the usual soft questions, only to get overpowered by the same stupid answers by Snow with that same stupid look on Snows face, almost made me physically ill.

The combination of these two lowlife losers, means we will be rooting for a losing team for years to come, or until Wang hopefully sells the team. Unfortunately, there isn't anything we can do. Your suggestion won't work.

The message has been sent over the past 10 years while attendance has dwindled.

That ***** doesn't give a damn.

You'll see no substantive changes until he sells the team.

Yeah cause nothing strikes fear into the hearts of Charles Wang then seeing Homeland Security and Dutch Frost signatures on a letter. Cmon letters wont do a thing.. he can care less.

You want to send a message.. DONT GO TO GAMES!!!!

Wholly crap.

I'm pretty much I wrote this same exact post a few years back.

The difference now is that I'm less emotional because I've been scorned. In 2 years, I guarantee you'll be more chill.

Either way, great post. Unfortunately, you're spot on.

I remember hearing Wang and Snow talk and wanted to either puke or kick my TV in. Now I just laugh.

One day, Garth Snow will look back on his life and realize what a loser he really was:

1. as a cheating backup goalie w/his illegal equipment
2. as a doofus on the internet posing with fat, ugly long island chicks who weren't his wife
3. as a GM who had no power or spine and who let his owner's hand up his ass each time the GM needed to say something.

One thing I'll guarantee..... much like many NYI former coaches/associates (eg, Stirling, Gordon, Milbury, Smith, etc.) Snow will never land an equivalent or higher role with another organization once he's **** canned as GM.

Why?

Because he (and they) never belonged in that role in the first place.

Always a great way to identify a poor hire or an unqualified individual who fell into ****.

Get some cash together and take out another ad in Newsday. I'm sure between here and Islandermania you could get more than enough.

Open Letter To Charles Wang.
I know MR. Wang you could care less about hockey let alone the New York Islanders but their are plenty of faithful fans that do. Please sell the team a.s.a.p. so we can try to get a owner who cares about winning as much as you care about money. We know a response will most likely not come from you but we want to make sure at least you will be seeing this.

Thank You
Suffering Islander Fans

Well that's not exactly plausible.

Yes it is.. I haven't gone to an Islanders game since 2010. I am in full support of the rebuild but when our best day is draft day year after year without any major moves to make us legitimate why on earth would I drive out to Nassau to see this team play for 20 minutes when it will take me 40 minutes just to get there.

Dont buy Islanders gear, Dont buy tickets, If you go to the game for free then dont buy anything inside the coliseum and you send a message with your wallet.

People will always go to games.. Whether it's parents taking their families out, casual fans, people who got free tickets, opposition fans, local students etc.. etc.. etc.. All of us on here not going isn't really going to make a difference he's going to average at minimum 10-13k a game and hasn't shown any sign of caring about that.

Not every Islander fan is on HF boards, even if all of us don't go to the games casual fans will show up.

I like the idea of the letter OP. Will it accomplish anything? Maybe, maybe not, but it's something.

how about stop going to the damn games!

I have such a love/hate with this.

I love the idea of saying ******* Wang you're not getting a dollar from me but at the same time, there are 23 players out there who put on an Isles sweater and play for us the fans and represent us to the best of their abilities. Not fair that we should indirectly s*** on the players to get to Wang.

It's a tough situation

every little bit helps. people shouldn't say, "it doesn't matter who i vote for in the election, it won't make a difference anyway." PUKE! this is the same thing. people here shouldn't say, "it doesn't matter if i attend or not because 10,000 others will. what's $30 more in wang's pocket?" thinking like that allows that wang to maintain the status quo and that status quo has many new york fans fit to be tied. people who go to the games and buy isles gear are, in the end, paying for their own torture. so, like i said, stop doing that as every little bit helps.

I like the "don't go to games idea".

I've personally been to one (1) game in the past five+ years. Those were free tickets.

I've not paid for Islander tickets in nearly 7 years.

Sorry Mr. Wang, but I won't pay a dime to see that team play until you spend a single dollar more than you have to.
