I think it's time to talk about the Rangers

This is a team that was suppose to be on a "decline", so they went out and had an amazing off-season and currently have the best offense in the league. Rangers fans knew our offense would be top 5, but no one else agreed. The only question mark they had was their defense, which is currently one of the stingiest in the league.

It may be early, but they had one heck of a retool to open up their window once again.

Rangers suffer from being the Rangers. Doesn't matter if you have a whole new lineup no one will take you seriously because you are the Rangers. Its a similar thing to being a Montreal fan. People just assume Montreal will fizzle in teh second round because Montreal Smurfs.

We've been top 5 the past two seasons and only improved.

We're deeper, faster and our younger guys are really coming into their own.

And Nash was obviously going to bounce back.

Nobody who watched Tampa's last 3 games thinks they're a good team right now. They will be good again at some point but they certainly aren't now.

They're pretty good. They lead the league in HDCF%. If they grab a top 4 defender, I would put them among the cup favorites.

Not really, Holden was playing on the top pair right spot until last game against the Canes.

Girardi has been solid tbh. Small sample size but the corsi agrees.

Holden has been reallly bad. But he's not a top pair righty so yea. If the Rangers get a top 4 RD they're an easy cup contender.

-They could probably survive one, but Girardi AND Holden is too much
-Lundqvist has sucked
-AV is awful in every way imaginable

That said, the Rangers are much better than they were last year. Might have the best offense in the league, at least at even strength.

Yeah, but most teams can say we're a top 4 RD away from being a legit contender.

That is the biggest collective need in all of hockey.

What are you basing yourself on to say Rangers have #1 offense in the league? GFs? Then Montreal has the 4th best offence, Washington is sitting at 23 and Dallas at 29.
