And yeah, I skim over the more cringe-worthy parts, but there's enough humour in each episode to keep it enjoyable for me.

Doesn't really matter to me if this is the show that launched them. The names I listed are the names of semi to massively successful comedic actors. It's not like they gained their abilities as actors after they left the show.

Or would you argue that Chris Pratt didn't get his sense of humor and charm until after he started getting movie roles? I don't understand why the fact that they weren't as famous until they got their roles on the Office makes them any less talented.

And why you'd even make that claim as someone who claims it's one of the funniest shows put to television. You can't have a "funniest show of all time" be filled with talentless hacks with no abilities in comedic timing.

By the same logic, all NHL prospects that haven't secured regular spots in the NHL yet are talentless nobodies.

Out of curiosity, who from that list are wildly successful and critically acclaimed comedians? Steve and Mindy? It's pretty safe to say that the show made most of those people and not that they made the show.

Securing a role in a pilot for a TV show is not at all the same as being drafted into the most elite league in the world.

At the time the Office was on air, that cast was a bunch of random nobodies. AFAIK, when the show started, not one of the cast had ever played a lead role in a big-studio movie or TV show. Steve Carrell was the only one who had even played a recognizable role in anything, and that happened right before the show started.

That's half the reason the cast worked so well... it was like watching people you would meet in real life, not watching a bunch of established actors doing characters. If it had been Will Ferrell and Jim Carrey and Amy Poehler, it would never have worked.

But that's literally not my ****ing point. We're arguing apples and oranges once again. You have a pathological inability to see what my point is. Or you do see my point and then you feel the need to argue something else. Or you're just ****ing trolling me.

Fame at the time of casting is not indicative of talent or ability. It is my belief that this was a talented cast of comedic actors that wasn't able to make me laugh consistently. Why you ever brought up and keeping harping on how famous they were when the show came out is beyond my understanding.
