I love the new Forum look

  • Work is still on-going to rebuild the site styling and features. Please report any issues you may experience so we can look into it.

If that is true, which i doubt, why would they not host their content on AWS or the like spread across multiple regions/availability zones in the year 2025?

That is why he suggested the backs up are in New York City or something. If Crave's head office is where I think it is, it is about 10 miles from the fire and the area has been evacuated. This site going down at the same time the fire started? Hummmmm

Did that, got the t-shirt. Not there anymore though we're on a different cloud network now.

The main issue is the xenforo software update 2.3 is a much more significant update over 2.2 than you'd think at first glance. It breaks a lot of stuff, syntax changes, and a lot of new features added.

I absolutely think it could have been handled better but I also don't work here like Buffaloed did, I'm just the janitor.

Can someone help me with changing the dark background back to white background? My background since the upgrade has been black, and it seems to only be the case on Firefox. I tried changing the preference to Light mode but it remained black. Even changing the font size to test doesn't seem to do anything.

Is your PC/phone set to dark/night mode? Xenforo 2.3 respects system settings (ish...sometimes) so if your system is set to night mode the forum will follow.

I just figured out how to fix it after a google search and was going to come back to my post to edit. Thank you for your very helpful reply. That's exactly what it is. I somehow had appearance set to Dark on firefox but the previous forum version forced light background by default. It seems most website on the internet force the background to light by default, so I never even knew I had appearance set to dark. This new forum version respects your firefox settings.

This new version actually looks better than the previous version so I like it. It looks very clean.
 
Not to disparage our hard working moderation crew but how does it take so long to bring dark mode back. It's been several days now and the mode goes on and off.

We literally have one option to choose from in visual modes. Hurry up and bring the people their dark mode back.

RIP Joe.

Had a few issues with him in the past when I was a mod (some of this was self-inflicted) but no one could ever deny how much this site meant to him.
