Maine is gorgeous, or at least that was my impression of it when I drove through it in January. it was quite the winter wonderland.

Maine is gorgeous, or at least that was my impression of it when I drove through it in January. it was quite the winter wonderland.

It is great both in the dead of winter and in the summer. But if I'm being honest, the spring (April through mid June) sucks. It is one giant mud puddle at that point.

Yeah, it's just one of those regional things I had never heard in the south. The first time I heard we were going to camp, I thought I had to pack a sleeping bag.

my least favorite place in the US is almost certainly the area around stupid Mount Rushmore. the scenery was nice, but I had awful run ins with locals there, through no action of my own.
