They badly outplayed Tampa and Montreal in previous series and got goalied by Bob against Florida. Should all that be considered or?
All this is telling me is don’t get attached to any one player or core makeup. You might have to change a few times until you are the one getting the breaks.
Florida couldn’t make the playoffs, the won the division, couldn’t win, changed some core, in the finals. Keep a core good enough to make the playoffs and hard enough to survive them. Then hope for magic.

Makes sense to me

Sure.

And somewhere in the multi-verse the Leafs have won a Stanley Cup and I get the respect of my wife and kids.

In the meantime I guess we have to agree to disagree.

I don't hold a Nobel prize and I assume you don't either. I prefer to stay grounded in the tangible. Euclidean geometry and Newtonian physics.

All this talk of quantum processes seems a little too Star Trekkie for my liking.
Great. Stay grounded on a topic you can actually contribute correctly to. Comment on the likelihood of an internal combustion engine turning another revolution. That seems to be closer to what you are talking about...not hockey

If the playoffs were random, the odds of the Leafs losing six first rounds in a row are 1.5%.

The odds of Tampa winning 11 rounds in a row are 0.05%.

Unbelievably, both teams beat the odds.

What are the odds of that happening?
Exactly.

You’re not “The beat team in the series“ for 6 years in a row and lose every single time.

You’re comparing 6 straight losses to 1 win?? ...Again, like I said before, you can’t lose 6 years in a row in the 1st round and claim that you were the better team every single time.

You guys are amazing.

1 playoff round win? = “We won. It doesn’t matter how we won, but we did”

6 straight playoff round losses?? = “We got unlucky”

“We badly outplayed them but we just got goalied”

“The refs screwed us”

You seriously can’t make this shit up! LMFAO.
