Post-Game Talk: I forget what hockey looks like

It’s not the end of the world if we get bounced in the first round. Long summer to heal and rest and reinvigorate for a contending season next year. We’ve played a lot more hockey than 31 other teams the last few years. We need 100+ point healthy chuck back next October.
We’re so f***ing spoiled lol. This team is obviously exhausted. That being said they could still win it again. The stars have to align. You have to be a little lucky to win the cup lol

I agree.

Having said that, if we don’t win it again, it’ll be the end of the world.

Even with their offensive struggles, I don't see a team in the East that competes with the Panthers when they're healthy and playing their game.

I only see Dallas as the equal in the entire league. Everyone else is simply not good enough IMO.

I agree. Once/if we are fully healthy, I have a hard time seeing us not come out of the East. And it'll be the same next season, unless a team like Washington or Carolina seriously adds. The only thing I can see is a fresh team like Toronto or Washington just wearing us down over a long series. The only thing that can beat Florida is fatigue. At least in the East.

Colorado looks very dangerous, some solid adds at TDL and no fourgiev
Jets if they somehow beat their playoff demons could be a tough out
Capitals are a solid team top to bottom
Lightning are rounding into their dangerous form again, very good top scorers, decent depth and solid defense plus with Vasi back in form (IMO its us or them to the cup)
Dallas depends if Heiskanen comes back, but a very solid and dangerous roster
Vegas is another very tough team
Kings look very good this year actually

Us fully healthy and in playoff gear i see us being able to beat anyone, but i just havent seen it this year yet other than the Jets game way back. Last year even with our march-early april nap, we had some solid stretches of play and dominated good teams, havent seen that at all this year, feels like weve mostly been coasting the entire year (which says good things that were still 3rd).

One thing that watching the last few years is that the playoffs is a completely different animal and the regular season is meaningless when it ends.

Jets are like the Leafs, have yet to proven anything. Carolina too. They're perennial losers with no backbone.

Capitals are one year removed from backing into the playoffs. They are not nearly as good as they have standings-wise. They will fold fast, likely to the first round team that comes into the playoffs MUCH hungrier than the Caps are.

Tampa's been inflated all season beating up on garbage teams with their powerplay. They struggle against good hockey teams.

Colorado is the only other team with Dallas that I say can compete but they also seem to turtle in the playoffs way too often.

i cant say i see any Juggernaut teams this year, just a lot of very good teams wed have to slog through that i hope were on our A game for early

Going 1-1 in the first two games of RD1 would be good, then PEDblad gets back and hopefully chucky is up to speed.
Sucks we wont get a fully healthy lineup till playoffs to see what combos work best

I won’t be happy unless we win 4 Stanley Cups in a row.

Actually if we lose a chance at a fifth one, I’ll be pissed off.

But one step at a time, let’s beat the Jets in this year’s final, just so we show all the whiners that nobody in Canada beats Florida.

I think this team will be even better next year.

I wouldn't be surprised at all, I think Samo will continue to develop quickly. He could be a ppg player next season or close. Swag should get his swagger back. Or maybe he's just had bad luck this season, whatever's wrong with him. We're really missing his extra 10-15 goals right now. Chuck will have had plenty of time to rest his sternum. Jones should be fully acclimated to our system. And maybe Devine or Sourdif get a cup of coffee, or more. Also no Finland or 4 nations. It'll be a regular schedule. There will be the Olympics, but I doubt 8 of our guys are going again.

Tampa reminds of our President’s year. Could be way wrong, having McDonaugh back has been huge for them, though.

Honestly, I was encouraged last night. No Barkov, no Tkachuk, no PEDblad, no Kuli, a rookie in, Balls still in, Nosek back in…and I never like benching Gadjovich…but they played them well. I was expecting a blow out with all the injuries but we hung with them all game. If they can keep that up the rest of the way heading into the playoffs, I like our chances of going deep more.

Also liked the game against Montreal, was a lucky bounce and terrible goaltending on the wrap around.
