Also I hope people are remembering the fantastic stop(s) Pickard made late in game to keep the score 2-1 before we tied. Thats the story in net there and why we able to get this game back. Pickard was very solid tonight.

Also unsung, and these guys deserve more mention, Darnell Nurse with the great pick read to setup counter situation on tying goal and Bouchard pass across next level. This is the same Bouchard that made the pass of the year just a couple weeks ago on the McD rocket goal.

Drai to the rescue (of course) but on both goals when he was coming down the ice I thought to myself--don't bother passing to anyone just move in and shoot. Voila, he does it twice and the Flames are out of the playoffs.

That's been part of the problem for Mc-D this year, too much passing off at the last second to guys with stiff mitts. Just shoot baby.

Credit to the Flames though for a great game with the hardhat brigade and honorable mention on some fine stops by Pickard to keep the Oilers in it.
