Dude. Hutson is a good prospect with great skills and potential. Can you just get over it?

I didn't go after anyone. And never said he wasn't. I stated my opinion and u guys started attacking me. Lol can you get over it?

I know it's just a couple posters, but the goofiness and disingenuous nature of a few Habs fans aren't a good look. I often get reminded when the Habs fan said that Caufield "looked bad" in the 2020 WJC because he was "held back playing with scrubs like Beniers and Boldy"
I think that was more on the US coaching they basically put there best goal scoring winger on the 4th line they won so their judgement isn’t questioned but it was still a bad call. Also wasn’t beniers 17 at the time ?

The harsh reality of pro hockey / life is that you can't be a successful defender in the NHL at 5'8". Hell, virtually every 5'11" defender and under is terrible at actually playing defence.

I'd say you're the one being disingenuous. Find me a Habs fan that said Beniers and Boldy were scrubs. There were some Habs fans that were saying his deployment in the WJC was wrong, just like his deployment by Ducharme last year was wrong. Those fans appear to have proven right if you look at recent play and stats.
Kotkacaufield or whatever his name was. That should be all you need to know.

That's why I said a few. Clearly not the fanbase.

I believe Beniers was the second line. Zegras-Turcotte-Kaliyev was the top line. Caufield was still on the top powerplay.

He was on the pp yeah but his ice time at even strength was the 4th line,

I think we're crossing wires (though that's my fault, as I said the 2020 WJC when I meant 2021).

Caufield got among the most ice time of any forward. Only Matt Boldy averaged more ice time than he.

The point is, he had pedestrian production and a user said it's because he was playing with scrubs like Boldy and Beniers. It was an unreasonable Habs troll, of which I certainly don't associate all Canadiens fans with him. I bring it up because this thread reminds me of the sort of bad faith trolling the OP is aiming for.

Oh got it, my mistake

Just saying but Sami Niku dominated the AHL also. None of this matters until they do something in the NHL. I'll take my chances on a smart skilled center over a smaller not so great defensively d man. Seen this smaller D men dominate lots until they make it to the big league where they do nothing

Hutson is dominating college hockey in his draft + 1 season. That was not expected due to his size. He's defying the odds and that's impressive this early on in his development.

Niku was a 7th round pick. He didn't have the skills Hutson has. You can crap on Hutson all ya want, but PPG in college as a recent draftee dman is impressive.

lol I just noticed that now. sorry

dont have to say it to suggest it with the title like this. its kind of obvious that;s whats trying to be said. this prob deserves to be on the MTL board type of thread
