Post-Game Talk: Hutson and Suzuki lead Habs in comeback win vs Flyers

Habs had a great 2nd and 3rd period of hockey. They keep finding ways to win. I hope they can keep it up, but also get some more easy Ws down the stretch.

I hope they learn from the last 3 minutes of the game. they stopped skating and allowed the flyers back in the game. A lot of tape about what to do, when to do it, and try to execute it next game.

A win tomorrow would be huge for this team. Odd they probably have to fly tonight, try to get some sleep, and then play in the evening. I think tomorrow's game might be a tough one for them.

I am no scout but if Hutson was this elite and they all knew it how did he fall to 62nd?
I didn’t think he’d be able to play effective defense in the NHL in spite of doing it in the NCAA and world juniors. We’ll see how he does in physical playoff series where opposing D are wearing down habs forwards and Hutson does well on goals for and against but doesn’t wear anybody down.

The Centre Bell vibes are crazy lately obviously but holy f*** does Renault makes it akward. Those "how special is this place" kind of questions need to stop. Let the fans support speak for itself.
Literally every single on ice interview following a win, is about greasing the Bell Centre. Part of the blame goes to interviewers with no imagination asking leading questions about the crowd and part of it is the format — not exactly conducive to more than recycled cliches.

It’s the verbal version of a Storm Surge.

I think Hughes addressed this on one of his recent interviews.

They had Hutson higher but the scouting team thought that he would be still around at 62. Obviously no one know he was this good but they had him much higher than 62.

Same as Fowler, they had him higher but had the scouting team thought that he would still be there in the 3rd round. Risky but it allowed give their 57th pick (2 round) to move up for Hage hoping Fowler would be there 3rd round.

It’s always the same story. That’s also how the Habs landed Caufield.

On D, teams love their giant sized, physical long stick Ds. Only 16 teams bothered to interview Hutson at the 2022 Combine.

Even a team like the Kraken, that had 4 picks in the 2nd round of the 2022 Draft chose not to take a shot at Hutson.

The resurgence of Dvorak, Gallagher and Anderson cannot be understated.
Dvo has really amped it up. Gally seems to have found the fountain of youth. While Andy is playing like a lot of us hoped he would when we traded for him. They're not quite a cup contender 2nd line. But they're playing solid hockey. I no longer curse and throw things at my walls, when they're on the ice.

Wrong drafts. Fowler was 2023. Hage was 2024. Remember, they traded their late 1st and 2nd for Newhook so unless they would've traded for an earlier pick, they got Fowler at the earliest time possible after the first round

All I know is my Dad thinks I'm a genius because I read the posts on here saying he was high upside and I wanted him with our late 1st!
yeah but also weren't there posts that said he was 5-foot nothing, couldn't skate backwards, and would get killed along the boards?
