Surprised how calm Tortorella was there. Must have gotten his valium prescription refilled today.

Rangers fans are ripping their boys apart, and *****ing about the lack of secondary scoring and with Burmi's ass planted in the pressbox... MDZ for Burmistrov?

Likelyhood of making the playoffs, given that the Jets finish with the following records:
Points|W|L|L-OT|Chance
56|12|7|2|99.8
|11|6|4|99.7
55|11|7|3|98.4
|12|8|1|98.9
54|11|8|2|94.8
|10|7|4|93.6
53|10|8|3|82.5
|11|9|1|86.3
Even going JUST over .500, at 11-9-1 gives them an 86% chance of making it into the playoffs, based on historical data.

Two more wins in this streak, particularly since they are against Toronto and Ottawa and we will be sitting ****ing awesome! This team CAN make playoffs. That is most important, **** "asset management" by selling our veterans, let's go for it!

I really hope we not only get into the playoffs but are able to secure the divison title...that would be sweet to have that seed.

But let's get there first, no point counting chickens yet.

We're finally starting to get some media respect, outside of Winnipeg. NHL Insider Anaheim catches Chicago and 11 other predictions
5. The Winnipeg Jets will make the playoffs, and either the Ottawa Senators or Toronto Maple Leafs will not

Winnipeg has a bunch of games left at MTS Centre. Don't pay attention to the Jets' early-season struggles at home. As the campaign wears on, trips to Manitoba will wear on opposing teams the way it did last season. Which Ontario team falls out of the top eight could come down to how quickly Craig Anderson and maybe Jason Spezza returns.

Kane looked tired out there today. I think he has been playing too many minutes recently. He didn't have a bad game by any stretch, but looked noticeably tired.

Buff had good game, but looked like the Buff from last year with high risks and some poor turnovers.

Crowd was really quiet in the 1st. It was very odd.

Antro playing the body and putting up points. I like it.

Wellwood had another good game with lots of hustle.

Cormier was invisible because of his lack of ice time. 4th line must have had something like 4 shifts all game.

1st line was pretty good - average tonight.

Meech was out of position a few times that could have cost us if the Rangers were able to break out of the Neutral zone without a tip or turnover. But he did make a few solid plays in both ends of the ice.

Olli was terrible offensively but very good defensively.

Everyone else had a good game and it was a well deserved win! Great 3rd period! Go Jets!

Edit: Forgot about Pavs! He was our best player by far. Maybe one day he will get a shutout. One day.

Elaborate?

Just some person on 1290, sorry about that.

:shakehead @ mahself.

Ah ok. Sorry, I don't listen to 1290, watching Kings game. Only reference to salary I could see was mine in last couple pages, was just wondering if that was at me

Guy talking about pop. of NYR fan base to Wpg fan base and the revenue that can/could be drawn from said fan base to acquire talent.

I dunno, it was kind of confusing. :help:

1290 said 3 shifts in the first, 2 shifts in the second, and one appearance by Thorbs in the third...

Nice win, even though the Jets took parts of the game off, 2nd half of first period, parts of the second but they turned it around in the third.

Nice game from Pavs again!

Crowd seemed asleep at this one, sounded like a Oilers or Flames home game.

I'm also not an Antro fan but back to back very good games.

Also not a Jokinen fan, he is the biggest bust FA of 2012, buy him out in the spring.

Hainsey looking more like a guy who deserves at least a two year contract from the Jets.

Not sure what Tangradi brings to the team or Thorburn for that matter.

If we can get over payment in a trade for Burmi even packaged with someone else, go for it!

Jesus why? Is Ben Maxwell really going to bring more to the roster? It's not like we are going to be close to the cap. While I will agree that he is not bringing the offense that we wished he would, he has been a very good defensive forward at least, and he is only signed through 13-14. We are not going to be anywhere close to the cap, there is no reason to buy him out. You need to get this idea of people not producing offense = useless out of your head. There are many roles on a hockey team, and particularly for a team like WPG that is not close to the cap it don't matter how much a player is paid. We want a winning team.
