Confirmed with Link: Husso to Anaheim for future considerations

  • Xenforo Cloud will be upgrading us to version 2.3.5 on March 3rd at 12 AM GMT. This version has increased stability and fixes several bugs. We expect downtime for the duration of the update. The admin team will continue to work on existing issues, templates and upgrade all necessary available addons to minimize impact of this new version. Click Here for Updates
Even if there's retention, Anaheim doing Detroit a huge favor here. The obvious benefit is flexibility at the deadline, but even if Detroit doesn't add, this also helps alleviate the bonus overages into 25/26 from Kane (and potentially Edvinsson and Kasper).

Between this and the Walman trade Detroit may lead the league in future considerations.

Husso hasnt been a good or reliable goalie for a while. I would expect this is his last NHL contract unless he is willing to come back at close to minimum for someone next year.

Yzerman to Verbeek probably went something like this:

"If we beat you on Sunday, you gotta take Husso's contract"

"Okay, what are we offering back?"

"You know what I want"

Pretty sure this includes Copp going on LTIR earlier today.
It doesn't look like Copp is on ltir though. And capwages is showing. 10.8m projected cap.

Something isn't adding up

Edit: it looks like deadline cap space is if we don't make a deal until the trade deadline day

Ottawa or Montreal fan, not sure which he is, trying to "dunk" on Wings fans for saying he was great when nobody even said that. Pathetic.
