Looks like Sekera missed the morning skate and they changed up the pairings at practice. Komisarek-Bellemore, Hainsey-Faulk, Murhpy-Harrison.
This is going to be exhibit A for why Gleason should or shouldn't be traded. Or I guess it could be a push, I don't know. Either way, I hope Faulk and Hainsey didn't eat too much yesterday because if those are the pairings those two are going for well over 25 minutes today.

Will be at the game tonight, first one for me since 07-08. Little nervous about sekera not being in the lineup. Have yet to see Canes win at PNC.

I think he got hurt towards the end of the game on Wednesday. We kept rolling Hainsey-Faulk followed by Harrison-Bellemore to end the last few minutes of the game. No Murphy (defensive lapses) and no Sekera (injury?).

While greatly improved over last year we still lack real high-end defensive players. With our current influx of mid-level defenseman, one injury puts Ron Hainsey in our top 2.

I have been down on Gleason, but I would still prefer him in the top 4 over Komisarek.

I think most of us doubt Gleason was ever injured and that it was stated that he was injured in order to escape the ignominy of being a healthy scratch.

I'm interested in seeing if Komi can handle a top 4 role, he's hardly played at all since we've signed him so I'm still not sold on him either way. Did he ever play on the PP with Muller when he was in MTL?

Wow, not many tickets left for tonight, wonder if it'll be close to a sellout. The cheapest tickets on stubhub are 28 then 34, haven't seen that for a 'canes game in a while or maybe because all the other games I go to are weeknights.

So they are faking a Gleason injury and playing a Komisarek and Bellemore pairing willingly? While still trying to trade Gleason? Yeah that makes a whole lot of sense.
