HURRICANES LOUNGE XLVIII

I didn't read the Louisiana bill. What specifically is it banning? Are they banning government/industry experiments like cloud seeding?

Or are they like some of the conspiracy weirdos that assume that all aircraft contrails are the government purposely spraying chemical or biological agents into the sky?

I didn't read the Louisiana bill. What specifically is it banning? Are they banning government/industry experiments like cloud seeding?

Or are they like some of the conspiracy weirdos that assume that all aircraft contrails are the government purposely spraying chemical or biological agents into the sky?

State Rep. Kimberly Landry Coates (R-Ponchatoula) defended SB46 on the House floor, saying she is concerned about aircraft leaving white streaks across the sky, which she claims are creating clouds and affecting weather patterns.

“This bill is to prevent any chemicals above us in the air, specifically to modify the weather,” Coates said.

The Environmental Protection Agency states that the white streaks seen in the sky are known as contrails. They are formed when hot aircraft exhaust meets cold atmospheric conditions, much like visible breath forms on a cold day, officials say.

Seems like the latter, especially when she follows it up with:

Coates also claimed the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) sends chemicals into clouds to reflect sunlight and cool the Earth’s surface. However, NOAA says it does not conduct weather modification experiments and has no plans to do so.

Coates further suggested that multiple agencies are involved in what she believes is a chemtrail conspiracy in Louisiana.

“Who is doing this?” asked State Rep. Matthew Willard (D-New Orleans).

“There are multiple people. Multiple groups, contractors,” Coates said.

“Who are the contracts with?” Willard asked.

“I’ve seen the documents with at least nine federal agencies,” Coates said.

A Google search says it’s either a music competition or something akin to aerial gymnastics/ribbon dancing.

Either way, 3rd in an international competition is very impressive.
Well today Lyra Therapeutics was up 310%. Went from just under $5.00 a share to $20.25 a share. But I'm guessing that's not the competition where she came in third.:D

Inspired by Lilo and Stitch having its moment in the zeitgeist, I submit to the group that Tulsky and actor Kevin McDonald are long lost brothers.

Yall act like one side of the isle holds all the morons.

Meanwhile one side does have the stupidest representative in America. A microcosm of his district the man has been there a LONG time.

Hank Johnson of GA. Care to guess where he's from? This is old, and he's STILL there. I could say more about that district, but it would get me banned, locked, whatever. Let's just say the voters aren't the sharpest tools in the shed and don't vote based on policy.

This shit right here is legitimately scary. Every bit the dystopian future that sci-fi horrors are built upon.

I have a facility in WV that I know about that isn't supposed to have any of the records it does, but it do. Hint - Its a clear violation of the FOPA of '86. You know, the thing we traded the NFA registry closing for?

"we all" aren't acting like anything. (I can only speak for myself).

There are GOP, DEM and Libertarian morons.. Just goes to show that it's more about who you know and how much money you can raise to get elected.

That said, the conspiracy theory nonsense took a huge leap forward more recently. Q-Anon, Deep state, etc. Years ago, it used to be easy to point out the crackpots, but now, many politicians have said: "hold my beer."

Three things:

1. The phrase is "one side of the aisle", not "isle."
2. No one said that one side had all the morons. The comments were about politicians in general promoting conspiracy theories.
3. There must be something with Georgia, because Marjorie Taylor Greene is also their representative, and she's a full-blown conspiracy theorist. Promoting such ideas as "Jewish Space Lasers", "Satanic children sacrifices", and the aforementioned "Weather control machine." As well the old classics of "Every mass shooting is a false flag event for gun control" and "9/11 was committed by the US government."

1. Autocorrect some times is not correct.
3. I would say that there is more than one shooting that's a false flag for gun control. I can name one specifically. Care to guess? Hint - it isn't a school.

Well, the ones she’s listed off were: Sandy Hook in 2012, the Las Vegas club shooting in 2017, the Charlottesville Rally in 2017 (which wasn’t even a shooting, so it’s weird she included it), the Parkland high school shooting in 2018, and the Christchurch mosque shooting in 2019.

Oh I firmly believe in some sort of deep state element. And I absolutely think say, the Bush cadre, and likely the Biden / Clintons are part of it.

Here's an interesting tidbit - From 1980 to 2016 There was either a Bush, Clinton, or Biden in power in the form of the POTUS / VP. From 1980 to 2024, there has only been a single 4 year term where one WASN'T in power in some way shape or form. Yet we aren't an oligarchy. 40 years, 3 families. Yet there is no deep state?

The mandalay bay shooting is absolutely fishy AF. That's the one I was referring to. You will never convince me that dude just did it because "reasons". They didn't even try to cover the thing up. Just "yeah we have no idea".

I don’t see what’s fishy about it. He was a compulsive gambler that lost a ton of money in the years before the attack, was apparently suffering from depression because of that, was apparently a heavy drinker, which probably didn’t mix well with the anxiety meds he apparently took.

All that sounds like a guy who would probably do something like that for “reasons.” Though apparently the FBI’s investigation basically determined it to be him being upset at how “high rollers like himself were treated in casinos.”

Ok.

I'm in the community. Dudes with that kind of cash have NFA, and lots of it. I'm not gonna argue this with you. The whole bumpstock thing started a whole wash of downhill snowball that eventually got N/A'd - which kind of got chevron involved, ATF rulemaking, braces, FRT's and a whole host of other shit that was getting out in the wild that made people nervous. Registry is already closed. The aim was to ban parts, and get MSR's on the registry as title II.

But again, I'm not gonna argue it. You eat that story up all you want.

I understand your position, because you believe the government is constantly trying to take away your right to a firearm and thus, it makes it easier to believe that they would stage a mass shooting in an attempt to accomplish that goal.

My position is that if Sandy Hook didn’t move the needle in any significant way towards gun control, it’s unlikely that any kind of mass shooting would do the same. So it’s far easier to believe that the act was done by a mentally unstable individual (as most mass shooters are) rather than some kind of government controlled event.
